Now, let’s take a look at the newly added content!
Co-op mode🙌
SAVE’s real-time co-op mode supports 1–4 players, allowing you to communicate and strategically carry out operations with your team. We’ve dedicated a lot of time and effort to ensuring that you and your teammates can work together to overcome the cosmic phenomena and threats aboard the SENARA.

As part of this update, we’ve added a voice chat system and a Base Camp where players can prepare for missions and plan their strategies. These features will enhance teamwork, immerse you in cooperative gameplay, and help you tackle challenging missions together.
Voice Chat System🔊
A crucial element of co-op gameplay, the voice chat system, has now been integrated into SAVE. This system enhances strategic communication, ensuring that players stay immersed from mission preparation to execution.

By enabling voice chat in the settings, players can choose between two communication methods:

● Proximity Voice Chat 📢
Players must be close to hear each other, creating a realistic and immersive communication experience.

● Walkie Talkie Voice Chat📡
Players can purchase a Walkie Talkie from the equipment shop, allowing them to communicate regardless of distance. This ensures that important information can be shared quickly and enables more strategic cooperation.
Base Camp🚢
Introducing Base Camp, your mission preparation and strategy hub!

At Base Camp, you can access key facilities such as the Operation Board, Equipment Shop, and Rubber Boat, all of which are crucial for planning and executing missions. This space also serves as an important part of USTC’s lore and narrative, enhancing your immersion in the world of SAVE.
Equipment Shop🛒
Purchase weapons, armor, and other gear provided by Miskatonic University to ensure a well-prepared strategy.
Operations Board📋
The room has displays that show the mission progress and objectives, helping teams plan their approach effectively.
Rubber Boat🚤
A staging area for final preparations before deployment, allowing players to gear up before infiltrating the ship.
Cosmic Phenomena
Cosmic phenomena are a core element of Lovecraftian horror, bringing eerie, unexplainable occurrences and existential threats to the SENARA. These events create an immersive and tense atmosphere, keeping players on edge throughout their journey.

Throughout the ship, mysterious cosmic disturbances will occur, and encountering them can lead to sanity loss, health depletion, and other dangers. Each phenomenon has its own unique patterns and countermeasures, requiring players to analyze and respond strategically.

These eerie encounters will keep you in a constant state of tension, making your exploration even more intense.

In this devlog, we introduced cosmic phenomena and the long-awaited co-op mode. We’ll continue to share more content and development updates in the future, so stay tuned for the next devlog!

Dev Log #5: New Level & Sanity System

Hello Everyone

We are currently working on recreating the unexpected supernatural phenomena and potential threats lurking aboard the SENARA. In this development log, we’d like to share the progress on new levels and the Sanity System.

If you want to be the first to receive the latest updates on SAVE, make sure to join our Discord community! We’ll be sharing updates regularly, so don’t forget to follow and wishlist the game as well!

Now, let’s take a look at the newly added content!
🚢 New Levels on the SENARA
The newly added levels are designed to let you explore the background and hidden stories of the SENARA. As you navigate through these environments, you will uncover the ship’s true nature and immerse yourself in its eerie narrative.

These spaces serve as a medium to convey the narrative elements of SAVE, allowing you to slowly unravel the secrets of the SENARA through exploration. Now, let’s introduce the new levels.
⛪ Elder Chapel
A secret worship room accessible only to the elders and the cult leader of the SENARA Gospel Mission.
🙏 Grand Hall
The largest gathering space for the church’s followers. Here, members of the congregation come together to pray, eat, and listen to the cult leader’s sermons.
🪔 Confession Room
A room where sinners are taken to repent and receive punishment for their transgressions.
😬Sanity System
Sanity is a key element in portraying the essence of Lovecraftian horror. In SAVE, it plays a crucial role in intensifying the supernatural threats and eerie phenomena lurking aboard the SENARA.

The Sanity System in SAVE causes a gradual loss of sanity when encountering hostile entities or supernatural occurrences aboard the ship. As sanity decreases, both visual and auditory distortions will intensify, making the horror feel not only external but also deeply psychological.

We hope this system enhances the immersive experience, making every moment on the ship more intense and unsettling.

In this Devlog, we introduced the newly developed levels, and the Sanity System, a core element of Lovecraftian horror.

We’ll continue bringing you more content and development updates, so please look forward to the next Dev Log!

Dev Log #4: Gameplay Update & New Items
Hello, Everyone!
In our last devlog, we shared updates about the revamped SENARA and the addition of various new options. This time, we’re focusing more on gameplay improvements based on your invaluable feedback.

In this devlog, we’ll introduce the updated gameplay and the progress we’ve made on new items!

Also, don’t forget to join our Discord to get the latest updates on our development. We’ll share regular updates there, so follow us and add SAVE to your wishlist to stay in the loop!

Now, let’s dive into the improvements we’ve made since the last alpha playtest. 🚢
Enhanced Gameplay 🎮
During the alpha playtest, the gameplay revolved around a gold retrieval mission. Players infiltrated the SENARA and navigated through the ship, avoiding threats to complete their objective. Based on your invaluable feedback from the playtest, we’ve put significant thought and effort into expanding the gameplay experience.

As a result, the gameplay has been expanded to allow players to complete a total of three missions in a single playthrough. This new structure is designed to immerse players deeply and provide a collaborative and challenging experience as you and your teammates work together to overcome the missions.

Each mission is designed to stand independently while being organically connected to the overall progression. The difficulty increases gradually as you advance, requiring greater teamwork and strategy. We are continuing development to bring this goal to completion.
Enhanced Looting Mechanics 💎
Thanks to the valuable feedback we received during the alpha playtest, we identified the need to make the item looting process more engaging and enjoyable. As a result, we have added a variety of new valuables and mission items.

To further enhance immersion during farming, we’ve implemented destructible objects, allowing weapons and the environment to interact more dynamically and realistically.

With these changes, we aim to transform item farming from a simple, repetitive task into an exciting experience filled with exploration and interaction. We’ll continue to improve the game to ensure you have the best possible experience.
Newly Added Items

Destructible Objects
To add more excitement to exploration, you’ll now find three types of destructible objects onboard the SENARA. Using weapons such as knives or guns, players can attack and break these objects to uncover items hidden inside.

In this devlog, we’ve shared updates on the revamped missions, the reasons behind exploring the SENARA, and the progress on new items. We’ll be back with even more content in the next devlog, so stay tuned!

If you have any questions or inquiries, feel free to reach out via our Discord channel. Your feedback is always a huge motivation for us.

We’ll continue to share news and updates throughout the development process, so we’d greatly appreciate your support and interest. Thank you!

SAVE Dev Log #3: Level & Graphic Setting Update

Hello, everyone

We hope you all had a wonderful holiday season!

Our team has been hard at work, and just like last year, we're kicking off this year with a renewed commitment to making SAVE an even more polished and exciting game for you all.

Your valuable feedback from last year’s alpha playtest has been a major inspiration for our development team.

In this dev blog, we’re excited to share updates on the newly updated levels and the Graphic settings feature we’ve been working on.

Moreover, we will be posting dev logs about our WIP (Work in Progress) and our new features as we make progress! So, be sure to follow and wishlist SAVE for upcoming news!

Now, let’s dive into what’s new and improved since the alpha playtest, shall we?
1. Updated Levels 🚢
During the alpha playtest, we aimed to create a serene yet eerie atmosphere by setting the game in the misty morning hours, with a calm and silent ocean as the backdrop.

However, to enhance the narrative flow and intensify the tension, we’ve shifted the game’s timeline to 2 a.m. midnight, adjusting the background levels to emphasize the dark atmosphere of the night sea.

With this change, we hope you’ll experience an even greater sense of psychological horror as you explore the SENARA. Experiencing the deep darkness and eerie silences of the night sea and feel the tension as you navigate.

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
2. Newly added Graphic Settings 📺
During the alpha playtest, we received feedback regarding the lack of customizable graphics options, which caused inconvenience for many of you. To fix this, improving the graphics options was one of the first things we focused on after the playtest ended.

As a result, we’ve not only introduced a variety of new graphics settings but also achieved significant optimization in rendering performance along the way. Players can now adjust the rendering scale, toggle ray tracing, and utilize advanced features such as DLSS for upscaled rendering.

These enhancements allow for flexible graphics settings adjustable to the player's hardware and preference. Moreover ensuring a smoother and more visually immersive experience in SAVE.

We hope you like what we have prepared in the devlog, where we shared updates on the new graphics settings and level updates.

We’ll continue to share news and updates on the development process and we greatly appreciate your continued excitement and participation! If you have any suggestions or questions, please feel free to reach out through our Discord channel.
