Intravenous 2 News

Version 1.0.14

Important for Intel 13th and 14th generation owners
Please be informed that there are increasing cases of Intel 13th and 14th CPUs being defective. Defective CPU samples are unstable and Intravenous 2 is very sensitive to CPU instability.

Due to this the game might crash with CPUs of these generations for no good reason. Unfortunately, I am unable to do anything about this. Owners of Intel 13th and 14th generation processors can work around this by reducing the processor's clockrate (generally called "ratio" in intel software) to avoid these crashes. Please find a guide on how to do this if you are experiencing issues.

Hey folks!

This patch fixes more issues of various kinds.

- fixed a crash that could have occurred in the dynamic lighting system
- fixed cases when actors would tunnel through objects/walls if their death animation moved their physical body
- fixed key bind states not being reset if the keys are let go of in the in-game pause menu
- fixed an infinite noisemaker/tazer mine bug
- fixed noisemakers/tazer mines thrown on Office Floor, Ground Floor not being triggerable after getting back from Office Floor, Top Floor
- fixed slo-mo not disabling when finishing a level, resulting in slow-motion narration and various UI actions
- hovering the mouse over the tip display makes it more transparent, like the rest of the HUD
- ALT+ENTER now works in the main menu for the purpose of switching between fullscreen and windowed screen modes

500+ Steam reviews!

Hey folks!

It's been 9 days since Intravenous 2 launched here, on Steam, and it's been a crazy time.
I've been hard at work monitoring the game's Steam discussions for bug reports, and did my best to release at least one patch a day, depending on how many bug reports would come through.

I do apologize if I was too slow on some fixes, as the volume of bug reports was high, and I have a limited amount of time in a day to dedicate to working on the game.
Still, I prioritized critical bug fixes, as ensuring a smooth experience for everyone is the number one priority.

With that said, today we've hit over 500 reviews! By comparison, it took the first game three months to get to this mark!

I am very grateful for your support, the bug reports that you have been submitting, and for all the reviews - all this feedback is invaluable and helps make the game a better experience for everyone.
Update 1.1
Now that we're past the always-crazy first week of any game launch, let's talk about the upcoming 1.1 update.
So far, the plan is to release it in September, and I am currently on track with that estimation.
In the event the update does not come out in September, expect it to be released in early October, as starting September, my life will get quite a bit more busy.

Please be aware that I will be monitoring the game's bug reports in parallel as I work on update 1.1, and will release patches for any new critical issues that people report, as I prioritize bug fixes over everything else.
Once the update is released, expect another "What's next?" community post, talking about the 1.2 update - yes, there's more to come after this!

I'd like to thank you all one more time for playing & reviewing the game, and reporting any issues you run into. You guys rock.

Sincerely,
Roman Glebenkov

Hey folks!

This patch fixes more issues related to the "Duality of Man" achievement.

- fixed "Duality of Man" achievement requiring the player to NOT kill anyone as Steve on "Pablo's Hideout" - players that have recently been playing through the game to unlock this achievement are encouraged to load up their most up-to-date savefile, and finish the game; this fix is applicable retroactively, and does not require playing through the game from the beginning again
