Patch EA007 - New Market Crates

[h3]New Market Crates[/h3]

You may now craft and sell Crate of Jars and Crate of Plants.
Jars and Plants may be found at the small islands around the Deadman's Island.
The new crates will sell in the Tropical Market Stall, when there is no trade blockade present.

[h3]Fixes[/h3]

Fixed an issue where the finished map was not properly dropping if the Cartography Table was full.
Cartography Table creates a finished map when all fragments are combined in proper fashion. In some cases, if you had more than one fragment #2 piece in the cartography table, the finished map was not forming. This has been fixed, and the finished map now properly drops with sparkles within 10 seconds of combining map fragments! If the table is not full, you may find the finished map inside the table's inventory as before.

Fixed an issue in the Journal where pressing Next arrows in Ship section would highlight the Crafting tab.

Reduced crafting time for Stone and Copper Keys.
More optimization related changes, with minimal impact to gameplay.

Crafting Update - Craft from nearby chests!


[h3]Extended Inventory for Crafting[/h3]
You can now craft items using ingredients stored in nearby storage chests when using a workbench or the player crafting menu (C keybind).

This feature only affects workbenches and player crafting menu, but not the tiered processing units such as drying racks, campfires, smokers, etc. Tiered processing units will continue to function (as they were previously) from their own respective storages.

During the crafting process, the crafting system will first check for ingredients in the player inventory, then the storage chests. If ingredients are stored in different chests, the crafting system will progressively check for ingredients in each nearby chest and take what is needed, prioritizing the player’s inventory first.

Note that if similar crafting ingredients are spread out in multiple chests, it will take from a random nearby chest

For players who prefer a classic crafting system, "crafting from nearby chest" feature can be turned on and off using the F9 key (Experimental and Subject to change)

[h3]Shared Multiplayer Crafting from Storage [/h3]

Client and server share nearby storages for crafting. In multiplayer mode, a client can craft from the server’s storage chests and vice versa.

[h3]Other Changes[/h3]
  • Removed Winter Event items including Snow Forts, red satchels, and gift box visuals from Common Treasure Cache. Christmas Trees and Presents currently rezzed will still be seen, but the Building Hammer can no longer place them in the world.
  • Some visual optimizations to fog and lighting has been done.

[h3]Frost Your Cannons β€” Add Frost Damage to your attacks![/h3]
New Item at the Trader that turns your Cannon attacks into a plume of frost, dealing heavy frost damage. This damage may help takedown Frosty Forts and other Frost Enemies.



[h3]Limited Time Event β€” Snow Fort Encounters [/h3]
Snow Forts have appeared in the ocean! Destroy them for a good ol stock up on gold and other materials needed to advance in the game. Be advised these forts are surrounded by Frosty Ghost Ships, so go prepared! These forts are harder in the farther areas of the oceans so be careful. A special item at the tropical trader can help πŸ˜‰

    ⏯️ New Pause feature for Single Player (press ESC key)
    β›™ New Merge feature which sends same items found in storage from player inventory
    πŸ–° New Shift + Right Click feature will send all stacks of same item to the open storage chest

  • Optimized and improved lighting in certain zones
  • Fixed a bug that was causing depth of field setting to not save on certain computers
  • Added more Hurricane Chests at Deadman's Island to provide mode copper
  • Reduced Health of Plane Crash
  • Added Cloth to the Cargo Crates from the Plane Crash
  • Poison Spear no longer requires a Stone Spear to craft
  • Sailing Winds event now shows up in earlier player levels
  • Reduced crafting time of drying Leather in Drying Rack
  • Added Raw Hide and Poison to Shark loot
  • Reduced cost of Cartography Table Blueprint
  • New highlighted background displays on current ammo in the Ship inventory
  • Increased stack sizes of metal bars, logs and Rare Mushrooms

Early Access Update - Ship Stats & Fittings!


[h3]Fire and repair directly from the ammunition in the Ship's Hold[/h3]
Cannonballs and Ship Repair Kits can now be consumed while in the Ship's inventory. If there are no cannonballs/ship repair kits in the ship inventory, then they will be consumed from the player's inventory.
Note that the ship always fires the Last Cannonball in the hold (last in first out)

[h3]Ship Resistances and Fittings![/h3]
Ship UI now reflects the ammo type to be fired, the resistances of the ship, amount of repair kits, and crew supplies in the ship's hold. Total of Bulkhead Levels and Crew levels are also displayed in the center of the ship wheel icon.



[h3]New Repeatable Fleet Battle Bounty Mission[/h3]
New Repeatable Quest at the Pangea Bounty Board "Dread Pirate Fleet".
A fleet will spawn at one of four random locations on the map. Upon destroying the fleet, players will obtain the stamp rewards. Note that this is a harder encounter than most missions in the bounty board. You will need a well prepared ship to beat this encounter.



[h3]Other Changes[/h3]
  • Increased weight of Cutter, Soul Queen, Dark Soul Queen, and Mary Rose.
  • Increased Warboat and all larger ships' resistance by 2-5% per level.
  • Increased Mary Rose dreadnaught class damage increased from 200 to 500 (while stationary).
  • Cutter Interceptor Class Damage increased from 100 to 150 (while in motion).
  • Increased zoom out view for Soul Queen, Dark Soul Queen, and Mary Rose.
  • Ship shortcuts have been moved to the right side of the Hotkeys while mounted
  • Message in a Bottle in the Forest permanent island allows "set spawn point" when the player is 31 or higher.
  • Golden Shovel and Fishing Pole are now repairable at Captain Nyx.
  • Plasma can now be sold to Trader using Exchange.
  • Crated Goods at small islands and Merchant Fleet can now be broken with Pickaxe, Spear, Knife and Sword as well as the Axe.
  • Added recipes to the Workbench that were only available in the Player Crafting "C" window: Ship Repair Kit, Building Repair Kit, Crew Supplies, Advanced Campfire, Chopping Stump, Small Storage Chest.
  • Increased damage of Axes and Pickaxes when hitting Treasure Caches and Cargo Crates.
  • Increased the amount of copper found in Stone and Copper Hurricane Chests as well as the Ghost Camp Chest.
  • Added Raw Hide to the loot for bunnies in the forest.
  • Updated Journal text in Ship section that cannonballs will be consumed from the ship's inventory.
  • Updated tooltip of Ship Repair Kit that it needs to be in the ship's inventory.
  • Updated tooltip of cannonballs Copper, Poison, Iron and Bio that they need to be in the ship's inventory.
  • "Sort" button is now visible clearly on the player inventory
  • Added shortcut on Login screen for Escape key to open the Login Settings window.


[h3]Bug Fixes[/h3]
  • Fixed an issue where Market Stalls were difficult to place on the trading dock.
  • Fixed an issue where melee weapons were taking durability damage during Naval Combat
  • Fixed an issue with Target cycling using keyboard shortcut T that was not always targeting nearby enemies
  • (Now, pressing T will cycle through nearby targets, prioritizing what is in front of the player rather than behind)
  • Fixed an issue where Dark Soul Queen sails were conflicting with the ocean.
  • Fixed an issue where Sun Lounger and Round Stool had the wrong title
  • Fixed an issue with movement for Gorgoss and Captain Khar enemy ships.
