Patch Notes 12/5/24
Economy Overhaul:
- We’ve heard you and are making significant improvements to card acquisition.
- We hope this set of changes lets players develop their collections more quickly, level up more cards, and have greater agency which cards they use in a deck, how they grow their collection, and which cards they upgrade.
- Pulling a standard card cost reduced from 125 chroma to 40 chroma.
- Increased drop rate of legendary/epic cards

- Combination of ~3x more cards and increased drop rate of rarer cards means for a similar level of spend/engagement, you’ll see:
- ~12x increase in epic cards
- ~18x increase in legendary cards
- ~12x increase in epic cards
- Upgrading cards is cheaper at all levels. The reduction in cost is greatest at lower levels.
- IE: 1->2 is much cheaper than before, and had a greater reduction in cost than 6->7.

- As a thank you for sticking with Shardbound:
- Double Rewards for Purchasers: If you’ve made purchases in the past, we’ve got your back! You’ll be credited with 2x the value of your previous purchases as a thank-you for your support.
- In addition, a thank you package is available to all existing users to claim via the in-game news section.

- Substantially increased the number of card pulls acquired per day through quest completion.
- Royal Mark cost reduced on cards in store:
- Common 1250 -> 400
- Rare 5,000 -> 2,750
- Epic 50,000 -> 8,500

- Changed rewards for quests to better match how difficult that quest is to complete.
- Simplified how shards work: 1 Shard = 1 pull from the corresponding loot pool.
- Elemental Shards: 1 pull from any faction’s loot pool. Flexibility at its finest!
- Standard Shards: 1 pull from the standard loot pool.
- Radiant Shards: 1 pull from the premium loot pool for the best rewards.
- Faction Coins: 1 pull from the loot pool that corresponds with that faction.

- Currency Conversion: Don’t worry—your existing currencies will automatically adjust to match these new systems.
First Time User Experience Changes:
- A new single tutorial mission replaces the existing 4 mission tutorial series.
Bug Fixes and Changes:
- Fixed an issue where some cards would inaccurately highlight in hand as though they were playable when they were not
- Fixed an issue where Commanders were gaining incorrect Deck Power on upgrade
- Fixed an issue with several cards showing error text in the Upgrade screen
- Fixed several issues with Quests not accurately tracking progress
- Fixed several Quests which were showing inaccurate rewards
