In this devlog, we’re sharing a round of Quality of Life improvements that aim to make your experience in Mini Racer Car Shop Simulator smoother, more enjoyable, and easier to manage — especially as your store grows.

These updates focus on helping you spend less time on repetitive tasks and more time doing what matters: building powerful cars and winning events.

[h2]🧾 Cashier Employee[/h2]

Once you reach a certain chapter in your progression, you’ll unlock the Cashier Employee. This feature lets an NPC handle all transactions at the cashier desk for you.


Now, instead of running back and forth between stocking and handling customers, you can focus fully on managing your car builds, upgrading parts, or preparing for upcoming events while your cashier keeps the store running.

Want to take over the cashier role yourself? No problem. You can easily switch roles by interacting with the employee at the counter:
- Interact with an active cashier to set them to Idle
- Interact again while idle to assign them back to the cashier role


This way, you can decide when you want to jump back in or let your employee handle it.

[h2]🎨 Wallpaper Decoration[/h2]

Not satisfied with the default store walls? You can now personalize your shop by purchasing and applying custom wallpapers.


There various design that you can buy to change the look of your store walls and helps reflect your personality so make your shop feel more like yours.


[h2]🏷️ Rename Your Store[/h2]

You now have the option to change your store’s name at any time. Just walk outside and interact with the nameplate above your store entrance to edit it.


Whether you want something funny, serious, or themed, your shop name is now yours to define.


[h2]🗑️ Indoor Trash Bin[/h2]

Tired of running outside just to throw away empty boxes? We’ve added a Trash Bin inside the store, located near the spare parts inventory area.


Now it’s faster and more efficient to keep your workspace clean and organized.

[h2]🪧 Floating Info for New Items[/h2]

To help with orientation, we’ve added floating labels above new equipment or racks when you purchase them. This makes it much easier to spot where new furniture or displays have appeared and prevents confusion about where to look or what to move.

In this devlog, we want to highlight a feature many players have been asking for that is game controller support.

Based on feedback from our previous games and demo sessions, we’ve heard loud and clear that many of you prefer using a controller while playing. That’s why in Mini Racer Car Shop Simulator, we’ve made sure to include controller support as a built in option from the start.

[h2]🎮 Your Choice to Use Controller or Keyboard[/h2]

You can now play the game entirely with a gamepad controller, whether you're managing your shop, customizing your cars, or taking them out for a race. Movement, interaction, menus, and even other interaction are all supported.


Of course, keyboard and mouse are still fully supported as well and for both input types, we’ve added a layer of flexibility through custom keybinding.

[h2]🛠️ Customizable Keybinding for Both Controller and Keyboard[/h2]

We understand that every player has their own comfort zone when it comes to controls. That’s why you can now remap buttons and keys to match your preferences. Whether you're using a controller or a keyboard, the input layout is fully configurable through the settings menu.


This means:
- Adjust button layout for your gamepad to feel just right
- Set keyboard key that suit your playstyle
- Mix and match as needed to fit your setup

Our goal is simple, we want you to enjoy the game in the way that feels most comfortable to you. Whether you’re playing on a controller, using keyboard and mouse, or switching between both we’ve made it possible.

In this devlog, we’re introducing characters that brings great value to your shop, but only if you catch them at the right time the Salesperson.

Unlike the usual systems where you manage stock through standard menus, the Salesperson is an NPC who visits your shop from time to time, offering special deals you won’t want to miss. If you're looking to boost your store’s inventory or upgrade your space on a budget, this is your chance.


[h2]🧰 What Does the Salesperson Offer?[/h2]

The Salesperson doesn’t just bring one type of item and they can show up with different categories of goods, each offering strategic advantages:

1. Discounted Box Bundles (Cars & Spare Parts)
You might be offered multi-item packs of car boxes or spare part boxes at a reduced price compared to regular store listings. It’s a great way to restock quickly, especially when you're preparing for upcoming events or just starting to scale up your inventory.

2. Discounted Sales Racks
Occasionally, the Salesperson will offer specific display racks at a lower cost. This is especially helpful if you're expanding your shop and need more shelf space without spending too much of your funds.

3. Special Furniture Items
Some of the rarest deals are supportive furniture pieces that give passive bonuses to your shop. These items may help attract more visitors, improve your shop’s atmosphere, or even increase the maximum selling price of your products. They're designed to help you optimize both aesthetics and store performance.



The Salesperson doesn’t stay long. They’ll appear randomly on certain days and leave at the end of the day, so if you see them, make sure to take a moment and interact. Once they’re gone, you’ll need to wait for their next visit to get another shot at those limited-time deals.



Tip: If you’re saving up for something or managing your stock carefully, it’s worth checking in whenever the Salesperson shows up. You never know what kind of deal you’ll get.

We added the Salesperson to bring more variety and unpredictability into the shop loop. Not every deal will be essential but some might be just what you need at the right moment. It also gives you another reason to keep checking in on your store’s routine and creates opportunities to get ahead through smart timing and good resource management.

In this devlog, we’re excited to introduce a key part of the Mini Racer Car Shop Simulator experience that is racing events. These events are where your customized cars go head-to-head for rewards, bragging rights, and even prizes.

Whether you're tuning cars for speed, control, or smarter AI behavior, this is where all of it comes together.

[h2]🏁 Types of Events[/h2]

There are three main types of events in the game:

Racing Event
The classic race format. Finish first to earn cash rewards and sometimes bonus spare parts. It’s a great way to test the overall strength of your build.

Time Attack Event
Here, you’re racing against the clock. The closer your time is to the target record, the more cash rewards you’ll receive. This event favors fast, efficient builds with strong acceleration.

Rival Battle Event
A head-to-head challenge against a rival and their custom car. Win three times, and you’ll unlock their exclusive vehicle for yourself. It’s one of the most challenging but rewarding parts of the game.


[h2]🏆 Event Tier System[/h2]

Each event has a Tier Level, which limits the maximum car rarity that can participate. For example, in a Tier 3 event, only cars with Rarity 3 or below are allowed.

This system is designed to keep things balanced and encourages you to maintain multiple builds, not just rely on your highest rarity cars.


[h2]🗓️ Planning Your Race Week[/h2]

Events are scheduled on specific in-game days. You can view these in the Calendar menu on your tablet and plan ahead for which events you want to join.


To help with planning, there’s also a dedicated Event menu that summarizes upcoming events and their requirements, so you can easily track your goals and prepare accordingly.


This event system has been refined based on feedback from players who tried the demo and prologue. We want races to feel meaningful, strategic, and worth preparing for—whether you're here for the thrill of competition or the rewards that come with it.
