ROADMAP - Third Milestone Ready ✅ + Demo/Prologue Update
Hey, chocolate masters!
It’s time for the third update out of four from our roadmap! UPDATE III is now live, bringing even more improvements and exciting new features to Chocolate Factory Simulator! This update focuses on adding new objects to make gameplay smoother and improving existing mechanics and systems to enhance your chocolate empire.

But that’s not all – along with the full game update, we’re also releasing updates for the demo and prologue versions!
By the way… we hope your factory is ready for a little extra love because something special is just around the corner! 💌🍓

Check out what’s new in UPDATE III! 👇
Changes and Additions:
 • Jar — a new container to store products and ingredients: Jars offer a 400g capacity, take up less shelf space than bowls, and are transparent, making it easier to identify their contents at a glance. Being a chocolatier-prepper just got simpler!
 • Measuring Cup — a new container: The Measuring Cup is a special container that lets you set a maximum fill amount and then transfer ingredients into it without the risk of overfilling — even by just 1 gram! You can use this container to safely measure ingredients during chocolate production, ensuring you never have to worry about accidentally adding too much again. Achieving pharmacy-level precision in chocolate making has never been easier!
 • Additional storage solution — the dispenser island: In a factory, it doesn’t matter how much free space you have; eventually, you’ll run out. To make storing your ingredients and products even easier, we’ve added a dispenser island that you can fill with anything you want: from base ingredients and chocolates to fillings and toppings.
 • Changes to decoration boxes Old empty decoration boxes looked identical to full ones, making it difficult to tell them apart at a glance. From now on, an empty box will have a very noticeable visual change, making it impossible to confuse it with a full one.
 • Improved identification of empty containers: The names of empty containers (whether a bowl or a cocoa bag) will now include the “(EMPTY)” tag, making them easier to identify.
 • Clearer empty container indicator: To make it easier to recognize empty containers (whether it’s a bowl or a cocoa bag that’s out of cocoa), we’ve changed the color of the “Empty” status displayed in the Additional Info window when hovering over an item. It is now a bright, eye-catching red for better visibility.
 • Shop UI improvements: With so many upgrades and modifications available in the shop, it can sometimes get overwhelming — you might not remember what you already own and what you still need. To help with this, the shop will now display a warning marker on any machine or Nougat upgrade you already own, ensuring you don’t accidentally spend your hard-earned money on duplicates.
 • Added Container Recipe Assistance: We’ve introduced additional assistance for working with containers. Now, a pinned sticky note with a recipe can be “linked” to a container. This lets you compare the container’s contents in real-time with the recipe you’re making. The sticky note tracks three key factors: ingredient amount (icon in the top-left corner), grinding level (icon in the top-right corner), and container temperature (icon in the top-left corner, above the required temperature range). We hope this makes working with pots and other containers much easier!
 • New music track: We heard that you love the music in Chocolate Factory and can’t get enough of it, so we’ve prepared another banger for you! The new track has been added to the music pool and will now randomly play during gameplay.
 • Major UI overhaul for the Book: The Book has received a visual overhaul to make it even more readable and user-friendly.
 • Reduced cost of the first wall customization variant in each room: At the start of your chocolate-factory adventure, money is crucial and shouldn’t be wasted on fancy wallpapers and parquet floors (despite what Nougat might try to convince you). Spending half of your budget on factory design may not be the wisest decision, so the cost of the first wall customization variant in each available room has been lowered.
 • Improved volume sliders in the options menu: Everything should now properly adjust when increasing or decreasing volume levels.

Bug Fixes:
 • Removed misleading “No interaction” message from the airship: Then you tried to pick up a package from the airship you were greeted by a misleading “No interaction” tooltip. This was due to no available action for the primary input (LMP by default) despite having been able to pick up the package using the secondary input (RMB by default). This message has been removed.
 • Fixed decoration list scrolling bug: Fixed an issue where scrolling through the decoration list using the scroll wheel was sometimes not possible if the mouse cursor was hovering over a an item in the list.
DEMO / PROLOGUE PATCH NOTES:
Bug Fixes:
 • Fixed resolution settings on Steam Deck:** Previously on first launch, Steam Deck would automatically set a very low resolution, causing text to scale poorly and become completely unreadable. This issue should no longer occurs, and the game should now function properly on Steam Deck. We will continue to improve SteamDeck compatibility in future updates.
And remember – there’s still one more update left on our roadmap! Stay tuned for more sweet surprises, and let us know what you think of the latest changes! 🚀🍬
See you soon,
