Demo update - we added service rooms!

The update is really important, so those who have already completed the demo are invited to play again. The gameplay really feels different now.

The most important thing is that we have added service rooms. That is, any guest who stays at the hotel for more than 3 nights may want:
  • Food delivery from the kitchen to their room. Accordingly, the hotel must have at least one kitchen.
  • Washing their dirty clothes. In this case, the guest leaves a basket with dirty clothes in the hallway, and the porter must take it to the laundry. There, the clothes are loaded into the washing machine (or machines). When the washing is finished, the porter takes the clean clothes back to the room.
  • Take a steam bath in the sauna. The guest themselves goes by elevator to the floor where the sauna is located and occupies one of the rooms in it for a while. One room - one guest.

As you can see, a new important role has been added to the hotel - the porter. They can carry two items on their carts: food, dirty or clean laundry. If you see that one porter can no longer cope with the delivery, you can hire a few more.

Each of the service rooms can be upgraded. For example, in the kitchen, you can increase the speed of cooking, their quality, capacity (affects the number of ready meals that the porter can pick up at any time).


We also added the ability to zoom the camera in and out. This can be done using the mouse wheel. And you can now move the camera to the side using the arrows on the keyboard or the WASD keys.
Due to the mentioned changes, the entire demo version level has undergone a serious rebalance. Please let us know about your opinion on this update. Did you like the fact that the gameplay in the game is becoming more profound? As always, we read all messages and try to respond to them.

Serve your guests - build kitchens, laundries, saunas and other utility rooms!

We continue to actively develop the game. Moreover, we are not only working on creating new levels, but also thinking about how to make the game as a whole even more interesting and diverse.
So, checking a guest into a hotel will be only the first step. During their stay, they will request various services: wash their clothes, order food, go to a sauna, and so on. All this will require creating appropriate rooms, as well as hiring new employees: porters. They will carry food, linen and other things between rooms and floors of the hotel.

Let's take a closer look at what will soon appear in the demo version update.

Kitchen
Various dishes are prepared here. Moreover, we can improve the kitchen to make more expensive dishes, and the cooking process will go faster. Ready dishes are laid out on the countertop and await delivery to the guest’s room.

Laundry
If a guest wants to wash their clothes, they put a basket in the hallway. The porter should pick it up and take it to the laundry, where these clothes are put into the washing machine. When the washing is done, we can see clean clothes on the shelves. The porter then delivers them back to the room.

Sauna
In fact, this room is not just a sauna, but a passage to private sauna rooms. That is, you can buy new rooms here (up to 5 of them). The guest goes down or up from his floor to the sauna to take a steam bath. The process itself takes some time. If all the saunas are occupied, then the guests stand in line.

Porters
This is a new type of employee. Their main task is to carry items for serving guests. Each porter has a cart that can fit two items: linen, a dish, and so on. If you see that one porter does not have time to deliver everything on time, then it is worth hiring another one.

Development news - we made a level with freezing rooms!

We continue to work on the levels in Check Inn, and we're trying to make them diverse. For example, in Montreal and other locations with cold winters, you will have to control the temperature.

When the temperature outside drops below certain levels, uninsulated rooms will freeze. New guests cannot be accommodated in a frozen room, and those who lived there continue their stay, while their timer is also “frozen”. Therefore, you need to insulate your rooms. There are several options for insulation - from simple to robust, designed for the lowest temperatures.

We updated the Demo!

The most important new feature is balconies instead of terraces. They can only be built at one of the edges of the hotel. That is, there are no more rooms that would block the entire column of cells vertically, making further construction on it impossible.



Now the elevators are upgraded gradually, little by little. You can choose which of the elevator specifications to improve - speed or capacity. The ability to improve elevators opens only after the appropriate step in training.

Also, the room icon on the guest wish panel turns green if there is currently a free room of this type. That is, now you don’t have to select a guest to see if there is a suitable room. This is especially convenient when the hotel is already pretty tall.

The most important news of the previous week is the change in the concept of rooms with terraces. We decided that the current implementation did not capture the potential of the core game mechanics well. Now instead of rooms with terraces there will be balconies. A room with a balcony can be placed at the left or right side of the hotel so that the cell with the balcony is “in the air”. The shape of such rooms is more complex than regular ones, but you can also get more money for a guest staying in them. There will be no more situations when nothing can be built over them anymore. However, rooms with terraces will also not disappear without a trace and we are going to use them on one of the special levels. By the way, one of the players suggested the idea of ​​balconies, and we picked it up and implemented it in the game.

Over the next week, we will try to update the demo version of the game so that you can evaluate the updated logic for constructing such rooms. At the same time, you will be able to see gradual improvements in elevators. Now the speed of the elevator and its capacity are pumped separately and a little at a time, at a lower cost than before. This way, you will have more control over them and you will be able to choose what is best to spend your money on at the current time.



We present to your attention the first screenshot from a 4-star hotel. As you can see, the forms of numbers are much more complex; in particular, there are no single-cell numbers that can be used to “plug” unnecessary spaces. At this level, like in chess, you have to think several steps ahead, preparing in advance the conditions for the location of future numbers. The reception and elevator shaft that are visible in the screenshot are temporarily taken from another hotel.
