Patch 1.0.4f

Day One Patch for Mirthwood:
** UPDATE **
We noticed an issue with UI scaling with this patch. As such, we reverted the path to 1.0.3 while we address the UI scaling issue. In patch 1.0.3 there's a UI slider in settings. Setting that slider to 120, saving, and reloading will fix the UI issue. Once the UI bug is fixed, we'll go back to patch 1.0.4
Excuse us for the inconvenience!

Remove Joystick input & add some deadzones (possible cause of ghost UI inputs / scrolling)
    Add 'Interact' key to rebinding
Move "Controls" setting button & rebinding to only in-game (fix some issues with bindings not loading)
Possible fix for getting stuck sitting in the chair during the prologue
    Lower Animal breed rates
Respawn Contract enemies when loading in case they were not killed initially (help fix stuck quest progress)
Increase stone spawns at the farm, in Mirthwood area, and Meadows caves
Fix Winter's Bite sword -> diagram
    Fix purple dress glow
    Fix Mountain Tunic
    Add localization to control rebinding
Some localization fixes: View Skill Info, Claw marks, market 'Not Connected', wording changes etc.

After a slight delay, Stardew Valley rival Mirthwood is finally out

While the excitement around GTA 6 continues to ramp up coming into 2025, my eyes are firmly placed on the new Fable. As someone who grew up swooning over Reaver in Fable 2, then swooning again in Fable 3 (that outfit is iconic), it's one of my favorite videogame franchises ever, and I've got high hopes for what comes next. In the meantime, however, I've been searching for a high fantasy adventure that channels that classic Dungeons and Dragons feel, but isn't 100 hours long (I'm looking at you, Baldur's Gate 3). Mirthwood certainly fits the bill, and after a slight delay it's finally out now on Steam.

    Development Update

    Hello Folks!

We’re excited to share some important updates with you regarding the progress of Mirthwood.

As many of you know, we initially postponed our launch from September 11, 2024, to November 6, 2024. This decision was made to ensure that the game is as optimized and polished as possible before it reaches your PCs.

Today, we're pleased to confirm that we are on track for the November 6 release. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, Mirthwood will be available for purchase and download on the scheduled date.

Our focus for the launch is to integrate several key elements from our previously released roadmap into the day-one version of the game. We're working tirelessly to include everything we’ve planned right from the start. Additionally, game optimization remains a top priority, with the goal of ensuring Mirthwood runs smoothly on the Steam Deck! We’re also working hard to provide localization in multiple languages, and we’ll share more updates as we get closer to the official release.

On the weekend of September 21, we hosted a closed beta event, announced via our Discord. Nearly 700 players participated, and their feedback has been invaluable to Mirthwood’s development. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who took part—your input has been instrumental.

If you haven’t already, we warmly invite you to join our growing Discord community. Since September, the Mirthwood Discord has grown significantly, and it’s the best place to stay informed about our development progress. It’s also the only way to sign up for our next closed beta, which is planned for mid-to-late October.

The support we’ve received from this community has been nothing short of remarkable and truly humbling. We firmly believe that our decision to delay was the right one, and we can’t wait for Mirthwood to charm and captivate you when it launches. Thank you again for your continued support, and we look forward to seeing you soon!

    Warm regards,

    Daron & Brian
