Subnautica 2 system requirements

The Subnautica 2 system requirements are live, and one of the most wishlisted games on Steam is still aiming for an early 2025 access release date. Despite a seven-year gap since the original game came out, the system requirements haven't spiraled out of control, and you can still play the game on an Nvidia GeForce GTX GPU. One unfortunate oversight, however, is the lack of performance targets to let us know what to expect from each tier.

While the Subnautica 2 release window is still set for 2025, no exact date has been confirmed yet. Despite this, we already have the minimum and recommended specs you'll need to play Subnautica 2. While you won't need the best graphics card on the market, if your gaming PC only just about ran the original game, you're going to need some upgrades.
