v2.5.0 Released | v3 Status Update
Patch notes for v2.5.0:
In the interest of optimization:
ā— We've temporarily sidelined shortcuts in this version to address the performance issues in DSX. We realized that they were primarily contributing to the lag and occasional freezing. However, rest assured, we're working to refine and reintroduce them in v3.
ā— We listened to your feedback regarding Steam Stats/achievements. Recognizing that they weren't high on your priority list, we've taken them out. As a consequence, you'll notice the DSX launcher is now more agile and gets you in-game quicker.
Current Status:
DSX v3 is progressing through its Alpha stage. We have a dedicated team of 10 testers diligently examining the system, spotting any potential issues, and ensuring everything is tuned to perfection.

Yes, we acknowledge there have been several delays, but we are devoted to delivering a product worth your patience. We're still enhancing key features like the Action System and virtual controllers.

Based on our detailed roadmap, many elements are already fully operational. This includes a sleek new user interface, robust support for multiple controllers, and a highly customizable Profile System. The Action System and Controller page interface are also now live, delivering a more intuitive and dynamic user experience.
Looking Forward:
We're not done yet. There's a compelling list of features on the horizon that we're excited to roll out. From optional notifications for changing emulation modes to custom mapping of Gyro/joysticks/touchpad to mouse, and even a system-wide mute button with LED notifications.

In the spirit of community collaboration, we're enhancing ways to share and download profiles and providing improved tools for mod development. Plus, a suite of advanced functions is underway, with an emphasis on user customization and versatility.

As we move closer to our vision for DSX v3, we want to thank our patient and supportive community. Your passion is our driving force. We'll continue to share updates and look forward to delivering an extraordinary gaming experience. šŸ¤˜

Best regards from the DSX Dev team,
Paliverse, Nefarius, and Ram

DSX v3 Beta | Optional Virtual DualSense Emulation DLC

Hello everyone, I want to talk a bit about DSX v3 and DualSense Emulation moving forward, DSX v3 has been in development for the past few months, that comes as a full app rebuild from scratch with so many new features and optimizations.
If you don't want to fully read this, there's a recap summery at the end of this post.
For starters, v3 will be a FREE UPGRADE to everyone once BETA is complete, this includes everything from v2 and new features implemented in v3.

Second, creating a Virtual DualSense Emulation in v3, will now require a DLC for its usage.

Why a DLC?
Nefarius the developer of ViGEm Bus Driver, has spent over a year and countless hours in figuring out how to make a virtual DualSense possible.

Of course anyone that would spend that much time researching and developing it, would not give up their tool for free, especially since there's nothing like it on the market. No one currently is able to create a virtual DualSense until now with DSX v3.

What does this DLC offer?
DSX v3 needs to have a beta no matter what, and instead of having a closed beta with a small group of people, teaming up with Nefarius in testing the DualSense Emulation, what better way to give everyone an equal chance to access the beta than a DLC for his work.

So, it will grant you early access to DSX v3 before everyone else, you'd be able to test out the latest features and help report any issues that may arise during testing and usage. This will lead to quick bug fixes and stabilization and optimizations.

Next, is the Virtual DualSense Emulation. There are games that natively support a physical wired DualSense
connected to your PC with no support for Wireless features, or if you happened to have the DualSense Edge controller that a native game doesn't support, this DLC aims solve those issues.

As the games send data to the Virtual DualSense, DSX is able to get that info, and send it to your physical controller that is connected either Wired or Wireless. This is what info can be read as of this moment: Adaptive Triggers | Light Bar |Player LEDs | Mic LED | Normal Rumble

NOTE: Only the mentioned above are supported. Haptic Feedback is NOT supported through a virtual DualSense controller, for clarafication, normal rumble will still work fine. Haptic Feedback will NOT work wirelessly under any circumstances.

At the same time, YOU can control what the game sees by setting that up in DSX. You can remap the buttons however you like and the game will see exactly that, adjust deadzones, and more...

Once Beta is complete, having ownership of this DLC will serve as the key that simply unlocks the capability of creating a Virtual DualSense Device within DSX v3.

So by getting this DLC, you support Nefarius in researching, developing, being able to maintain ViGEm, and update it regularly to support new features in the future. It's thanks to him that this is now possible.

Release Date:
DSX v3 BETA and this DLC will launch once the beta is in a ready state.

Pricing for this DLC:
Will be reasonably priced for a feature that isn't available anywhere else.

About the BETA:
Beta will run until DSX is stable and optimized from user feedback, while also finishing up implementing features not fully ready.

Recap:
ā— v3 will be a free upgrade for everyone after BETA is complete.
ā— The DLC takes **nothing** away from existing features.
ā— Ability to create a Virtual DualSense Emulation device through DSX v3. (Main Highlight)
ā— DLC Will be priced fairly and below the cost of the app itself.
ā— Beta will run until app is stable and optimized and features fully implemented.

PS VR 2 Sense Controllers Support in DSX v3

[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]

DSX v3 will have support for both PS VR 2 Sense Controllers to use them combined or individually within the app to do all sorts of things like emulating a virtual Xbox or virtual Dualshock controller to be used in games from all platforms on PC.

DSX v3 is still in development and no eta as of this moment, but hoping for a beta launch in March/April.

These controllers are really amazing in the things that can be done and what they can be utilized for.

Each controller has it's own Gyro/Accelerometer motion sensors. As far as i can tell, there's no apparent info for "Tracking" as it seems to be handled by the PS VR 2 Headset cameras.

Both controllers can be connected via a Type-C cable or pairing them through BT in windows.
