DSX Rebuild v3.0.0 Haptic Feedback Modes First Look

Hope everyone has been enjoying using DSX as much as i have been developing it! This is a first look at Haptic Feedback and HidHide in v3.0.0. Like before, Haptic Feedback currently only supports a USB connection type.
Haptic Feedback
There will be 5 output modes to choose from:
  • Standard Rumble (USB) (BT)
    - The Current normal rumble built in from the controller.
  • Audio Haptics (USB)
    - Sends your system wide audio to the controller and turns it into Haptics.
  • Rumble To Haptics (USB)
    - Lets you turn incoming rumble values from an emulation device and translate it into haptics.
  • Button To Haptics (USB)
    - Lets you feel haptics on button presses like X, Square, Triangle etc..
  • Trigger To Haptics (USB)
    - Lets you translate L2/R2 pressure presses into haptics. This is NOT an Adaptive Trigger.

During internal testing, using Rumble To Haptics has really been a game changer in games that make them more immersive than ever. It's as if the game naturally supports haptics.

What you see from the video below is more for internal testing, however in the future, there will be presets to choose from for each mode using the different audio signal wave types.

There will also be a mode where you can manually create your own preset like in the video using the different signal wave types and your desired frequency and intensity.
HidHide Integration
I've been in close contact with the developer who made HidHide, working together along side other devs to get HIdHide properly integrated in DSX and other Apps.

You will be able to see the list of applications in the whitelist who are able to access the physical controller as well as the devices list which determine which device can be hidden from games and other applications. You will be able to remove from either list.

Without further ado, here's what it looks like below:

As of yet, there's no current ETA for when v3.0.0 will come out. Targeting by end of the year, but that will all depend on how much is implemented.

Hope you enjoyed reading this update, stay tuned for more updates to come in the future.
