Update 1.1 - Sights & Settings

Hello Soldiers, today we have a new update with some much-requested changes.

[h3]Critical Fixes[/h3]

  • Fixed a critical bug breaking save files when hitting end-run during daily run in some cases


[h3]Notable Changes[/h3]

  • Added user-customizable iron sights and reticle colors - tweak these in the game settings for your personal preference
  • Improved red dot sight two have two depth markers, making accurate aiming possible again
  • Improved sniper inventory layouts - sniper ammo in the middle for easier left or right hand usage, or whether reloading with main or off-hand
  • Improved pistolier inventory layouts - added extra inventory pouch and extra wand slot, to balance out some of it's weakness compared to other classes
  • Reduce wobble on 1H pistol aiming - quality of life for pistol class
  • Reduced rushing behavior of enemies - particularly on harder difficulties the enemies tended to rush far too close, and had too much health to deal with, it should now be more of a close-range firefight than a face rush

Hotfix for hanging on loading screen

Quick hotfix for old saves hanging on loading screen. Added additional code to try and catch any loading screen issue and fall back to temple in the worst case.

Update #1 - Community Feedback Patch



Hello Soldiers, we've got an enormous amount of feedback since launch and have been hard at work getting everything improved. There are a new graphics settings to have more control for your setup, and a ton of VR settings to customize for your preferences.



The other notable much requested features are redesigning the two-handed to only apply while aiming, trigger to grab the weapon bolt slide, trigger to store ammo, and increased difficulty levels (NG+++).

On top of that, we fixed a ton of bugs, balanced lots of weapons and enemies and upgrades, and improved a lot of things in general - thanks to everyone for the feedback, hopefully this improves the feel of the game for everyone.

The Light Brigade - AVAILABLE NOW

Hello Soldiers, release day is here! We've been working very very hard on this game for nearly 3 years, and excited to finally have everyone play.



If you're new here, The Light Brigade is a challenging roguelike VR shooter with realistic WW1 and WW2 guns, magic, classes and upgrades across a variety of different biomes. You will die a lot, and improve and upgrade between runs - both your game character and personal skill. Each run you will find different gun attachments, scopes and tools, as well as mysterious tarot cards to become more powerful.



We want to give enormous thanks to our beta testers! We fixed a ton of bugs and performance issues, made lots of balance and tweaks, and also added a bunch more VR settings as people were requesting them - thanks to everyone reporting issues and giving us detailed info.

We're going to have lots of updates coming after release with new guns, worlds, enemies, spells, upgrades and items. We'll be running early test builds from discord (discord.gg/funktroniclabs), so please drop by and let us know what things you want to see.
