Mr. Mine battle overhaul hotfixes and upcoming changes

Last week, we rolled out a major overhaul to the battle system along with adjustments to many other parts of the game. We understand that the update fell short for many of you, and we’ve been working tirelessly to address the issues. Since the update launched, we’ve released several hotfixes to resolve the concerns you raised. Unfortunately, in our haste to fix some problems, new ones were introduced. While we should have been more diligent, we believe that many of the most pressing issues have now been resolved.
That said, we’ll likely need to release one or two more hotfixes to wrap things up. While we did have several testers playing the game before launch, nothing compares to the feedback from thousands of players.

Resolved Issues:
  • Lag over extended periods of time: This issue took the longest to resolve as there were no clear indications of its cause. After optimizing many parts of the game, we discovered it was due to a single line of code that had been accidentally commented out. While this issue persisted longer than we’d hoped, the optimizations we implemented in the process should lead to a better-performing game overall.
  • Monster balance: Adjusted certain monsters to make battles a little easier in some areas of the game.
  • Battle tutorial improvements: Enhanced explanations for how battles work, with more updates planned to make things even clearer.


Upcoming Fixes:
  • Remaining scientist issues: Final tweaks to ensure smooth functionality.
  • Screen flickering: A brief flicker occurring every five minutes (caused by a prior attempt to fix lag) will be removed.
  • Enhanced tutorials: Further improvements to the battle and gem forge tutorials.
  • Weapon info: More detailed information about weapon levels.

Battle and Underground City Overhaul Update

Battle Changes
Battles are now turn-based instead of being a button-mash simulator. You can now fight multiple monsters back to back with each giving different rewards (money, minerals, chests). Equips work more like Super Miners and are granted from Battle Chests which you can find in the world, in battles, or by purchasing in the shop. You can now have multiple of the same equip and can scrap them to get Weapon scrap which you can use to upgrade your slots or the equips themselves. There are also two new battle consumables: one that heals you by 20% during a fight, and one that lets you draw cards from your discard. Several battle relics have been adjusted to work with the new system.

Gem Forge changes
You can now dedicate workload to gems and they will automatically craft. The higher the workload the less time it takes for them to craft. Gems are now used for upgrades instead of equips. Gem Upgrades increase your health, max energy, energy regen, max cards in hand, and card draw per turn for battles.

Extended Titan
Titan has now been extended to its final depth of 750km and now has a trading post. There have also been significant balance adjustments to the price scaling and strength of the existing drills. You may find that you are able to skip a few tiers if you have been saving for a long time.

Scientists changes
The scientists now have a new scrollable UI. You can now view all your active scientists in a single window organized by progress, with completed excavations at the top, followed by inactive scientists and ongoing excavations. There is also a new relic scrap system, which can be used to trade for additional relics. Relics can be scrapped from the inventory window, or when discarding them at the end of an excavation. In addition to those changes, resurrecting scientists will now also grant you the excavation reward!


Other Changes
  • The illuminating crown now shows the description for excavations as well.
  • New cave consumables.
    • One that sends out a fleet of drones all over the cave for half the fuel cost.
    • One that reveals the whole cave.
  • You can now click on super miners in the world.
  • The ufo hitbox is no longer difficult to click on PC and now the UFO will actually spawn on mobile.
  • Magnetic drones will no longer pull items into hazards unless the items were in a hazard to begin with.
  • The Healing Drone is now an absolute tank, even faster, and heals more.
  • The time until depth now has a real time estimate that goes based off of your rate of acquiring timelapse (With further improvements coming in another update).
  • Tooltips for minerals in the crafting window now have some text telling you to click them to lock them.
  • Fixed a bug where basic chest were giving less money than they were supposed to with higher level Mining Speed Potion buffs.
  • Adjusted a few quests to grant ethereal and battle chests as rewards.
  • Mineral deposits now have a nice glow to them when hovered.
  • Added a special quote that says how red names are obtained when a red name miner is double clicked.
  • The shop is now organized into categories to make it easier to navigate.
  • The Ethereal chest in the shop now has an info button that says how likely you are to get different drops.
  • Added new shortcuts for the Super Miner window (M) and Chest collector (X).
  • There should no longer be invisible mineral deposits on Titan.
  • Buffed the earlier levels of the chest compressor. Nerfed the later levels a little bit.
  • Premium miners now have a new message explaining how to unlock your own.
  • The tooltip in the buff lab now displays the right amount of missing energy when your buff lab is higher than level 1.

Christmas event - Candy cane drops and increased basic chest spawn rate!

Earlier this week we had some issues with the Christmas event, but it should now be live on all platforms! Candy Canes now drop from Chests, caves, and Monsters and they can be redeemed for chests in the event window. Basic chests also now spawn twice as fast during the event!

Mr. Mine v44 - More tickets, new relics, extended Titan & more!

Hey everyone! Hope your summer was (or still is) fantastic. We meant to roll this update out a bit sooner, but better late than never, right? Dive in!



Ticket changes
* Tickets are more common from scientist excavations.
* Tickets can now appear in trades and caves.

New shop items
* Building Materials & buffs
* Reduced Orange Fish respawn time
* Basic Drones turn around automatically on full inventory
* View hidden excavations

Scientist Changes
* Drag & drop Relics.
* Relics are now capped at 20 instead of 15 and additional slots can be purchased with tickets from the relic tab.
* Reworked the Scientists reward scaling formulas to smooth out the curve. Will make higher level scientists more worth keeping. Lower level scientists will be slightly weaker, higher levels will be much stronger. Smaller reward excavations will now be more time efficient (time spent on excavation relative to the reward amount.)
* Scythes are now capped at 80%
* Big cheese now has a decreased spawn chance if another scientist is currently on a big cheese mission. Big cheese is now capped at capacity instead of 2x to account for increased capacity from 5 extra relic slots which has the potential to increase your capacity by 3.25x.

New relics
* Onyx Oracle - Mineral deposit amount multiplier (15/20/25)%
* Ruby Resonator - Mineral deposit spawn multiplier (10/15/20)%
* Key of the Void - Increased Ethereal Chests spawn chance (5.5/7/8.5)% (capped at 85%)

Titan Changes
* +200km
* 12 new drill upgrades
* 1 new boss and 2 new monsters

Super Miner Changes
* Skill super miners can now be Shift clicked in the super miner UI to cast their skill.
* Goldalf minerals required per reward no longer scales down with level. Instead the mineral, money, and super mineral souls rewards scale with level. Building materials will no longer be granted as rewards if you have no structures to level up.
* Nerfed Thoth from 300% to 150% to account for increasing relic slots.
* Buffed Master Mined which is the legendary auto seller. Now has a secondary passive, it now automatically sells any minerals that breaks capacity by 2x. (This should help with getting too many minerals from different rewards and needing to sell)
* Chest Spawning Super Miners now have a spawn cap of 2200% across all Super Miners. (2 legendary level 10 orange fish) Anything over 2200% is instead converted to a reward multiplier on all chests. The vast majority of players should not be affected by this and there is still a benefit to having more than 2 legendary level 10 chest super miners.
* Buffed the Mineral Deposit super miners by adjusting how mineral deposits spawn. Previously the spawn rate capped the amount that could spawn to 1 every 30 seconds which was super lame. Multiple can now spawn per 30 second tick.


Other Changes
* Add slot button in the Super Miners UI now has a warning that it doesn't grant Super Miners
* Mineral deposits now scale with depth similar to all other rewards in the game.
* Blueprint ingredients now have little progress bars for each mineral.
* Weapons are now drag and droppable in the weapon stats menu in the underground. Allowing for you to reorganize them for battles.
* Fixed a bug where the “Master Mined” super miner could not be claimed if your slots were full.
* Minerals are now lockable with number characters for example "1T", "100B", etc.
* Drones now have the option to be sent back.
* Added the ability to extend a cave by 30 minutes for 1 ticket.
* Battle UI now only has 3 columns now instead of an empty 4th column
* Energy bar on HUD now displays properly when the reactor is unlocked.

Mr. Mine Christmas Update!

The Christmas event is back and better than ever! From now until December 28th the mines will be Christmas themed!

* Basic chests are now Christmas presents and they have double the rewards
* Caves are Christmas themed and have the occasional Candy Cane reward.
* Some monsters will be Christmas monsters and occasionally drop a Candy Cane.
* Candy Canes can be used in the Christmas shop UI to purchase chests.

There also 4 new relics and 4 new achievements

* Fuel Extractor - Increase the speed that cave regenerate fuel
* Fuel Tank - Increase drones starting fuel
* Rocket Booster -Increase the drones movement speed
* Juicer - Increase Super Miner Speed
