We have just pushed our latest Hotfix which includes some bug fixes and updates.

We'll be sharing details on our Quality of Life Update 3 coming in December very soon, so keep an eye on this channel!


  • Updated credits.
  • Players will now correctly join games when joining from the Steam friends list before launching Wayfinder.
  • Fixed attacks interrupting themselves after using Juggernaut's weapon ability Upheaval.
  • Fixed the Hollowlord Vendraal echo not activating while playing an Arcanist Wayfinder (Lora, Niss, Kyros).
  • Fixed Silo affinity perks stacking unintentionally after respawning (Deep Pockets & Strategic Charge).
  • Fixed Senja’s Discipline perk Crowd’s Strength not granting bonus Weapon Power.
  • Fixed an issue with Lora's affinity perks stacking unintentionally.
  • Removed the unintended slime VFX from Azaar, Storm of Blades' jump attack.
  • Fixed an issue where players could acquire a deprecated item “Hollow Wurm Remains” (this item can be safely sold to a vendor).
  • Added the previously unobtainable Epic Armor set for each character to the General loot pool for Crucible chests and enemies.
  • Fixed the following locations not being discoverable: Betrayer’s Blade, Imperial Mill, and Bitter Wind Hollow.
  • Fixed issues causing one-time chests to fail to grant items to players.
  • Fixed an issue with the Alchemist interaction during the quest Rats of Unusual Size.
  • Fixed the crash caused by interacting with Omen during the quest Call of the Void.
  • Fixed the double drops of accessories during combo mutator runs.
  • Fixed Xbox icons showing while in the housing editing mode and using a PS5 controller.
  • Fixed an issue causing unsaved settings to apply after exiting the settings menu.
  • Fixed some issues that could cause an infinite load screen.
  • Fixed an issue where the Find Party menu would fail to display.
  • The Mystic Toad is now hungry...

Improvements
  • Improved performance and reduced hitching around enemy spawning on most machines
  • Improved the 3D rendering performance within menus and NPC conversations
  • The game starting in offline mode is now working as intended when it can not connect to Epic Online Services at startup.
  • PC FPS default setting is now 60 FPS instead of uncapped
  • PC and Steam Deck now save the respective settings separately



Fixes
  • Fixed Grendel’s ultimate to now heal for 30% of max HP (this isn’t indicated in the description for now)
  • Fixed an issue where Senja’s ultimate was healing 30% of AP, now it heals 30% of max HP
  • Fixed an issue with Senja where the first upgrade for Pummel would reduce its overall damage
  • Fixed an input bug with Kyros and Silo where sometimes Rakes, Firebombs, and Oilbombs would not fire on subsequent presses
  • Fixed an issue causing Lora’s voice to change while attacking and dodging
  • Fixed an issue with Lora’s channel meter consuming too many bars and continuing to channel abilities while the meter is empty for clients in co-op
  • Fixed an issue causing Lora’s Aerie Priest Helmet, Body, and Signature armor items to not drop from their respective Mythic hunts
  • Added the Shadow Strider mount as a drop from Mythic Teryssa
  • Added Silo’s Tempered Streetwise Mask as a drop from Teryssa
  • Fixed an issue causing Teryssa sometimes to drop Plaguebringer loot
  • Fixed Hollowlord Vendraal’s cosmetic loot pool missing items
  • Fixed an issue with Ability damage text sometimes appearing unbolded and colorless
  • Fixed an issue where Greed and Solar Cores would be available to craft prematurely
  • Fixed an issue where players could acquire a deprecated item “Hollow Hound Remains” (this item can be safely sold to a vendor)
  • Fixed an issue where rats would spawn out of bounds during the Rats of Unusual Size quest
  • Fixed an issue causing Teryssa’s dialogue to not play during The Fight for Evenor quest
  • Fixed the load screen appearing without teleporting in the Eldren Interference event
  • Fixed an issue preventing Eldren Cache Keys from being inserted into Eldren Caches
  • Removed the large green slime VFX from Azaar’s jump attack
  • Fixed an issue where Greed and/or Shadow-based mutators would fail to apply to hunt bosses
  • Fixed an issue causing Phoenix’s to become unkillable
  • Fixed an issue with the Hollowlord Vendraal Echo not activating for Arcanist Wayfinders
  • Fixed an issue where Bloodrage of Vuul could disappear after losing all Resilience
  • Fixed the incorrect VFX on Eldren positioned behind the Rally Barricade from a Vaelguard
  • Fixed the PS5 Trophy “Legend Reborn” unlocking prematurely
  • Fixed an issue with the Mystic Toad quest not being granted to players
  • Fixed an issue with enemies being unreachable during chokepoints and finales preventing players from completing them
  • Fixed an issue in co-op where the Eldren enemy for the Crucible of the Gods quest wouldn’t spawn properly
  • Vendraal’s Briar can now be sold
  • Removed the unintended roll animation at the end of ziplines

Wayfinder (PC) Review


About a year ago, I had the opportunity to play an early access build of Wayfinder in development by Airship Syndicate. On its initial early access release, Wayfinder was presented as a free-to-play online-only co-op-focused MMORPG-lite. At the time, while the base systems felt solid and the combat had potential, many were concerned about typical F2P title woes such as microtransactions, paywalls, and the like.





This was before the original publisher backed out of the development process, leaving Airship Syndicate with a tough choice: close it all down or reimagine their hard work and investment as something new. Wayfinder 1.0 is the culmination of that reimagining. With Wayfinder 1.0, gone is the focus on online-only play, micro-transactions and the MMORPG-lite structures and what remains is an online/offline single-player/co-op Action RPG.

Co-op ARPG Wayfinder launches in 1.0, completing its wild underdog story

Who doesn't love a good redemption arc? There are plenty in the videogames space, but few are quite as wild as Wayfinder's. Once a free-to-play multiplayer RPG that was abandoned by its publisher, it has since been repurposed into a single-player or co-op loot fest which has received glowing reviews during its early access period. Now, Wayfinder has completed its redemption arc as it has reached its full, 1.0 launch.
