Despite declining numbers, Last Epoch devs claim it's "far from dead"

It feels like there's been an ARPG renaissance over the past couple of years. 2023 marked the return of the OG dungeon crawler with Diablo 4, then 2024 saw the triumphant arrival of Path of Exile 2. Last Epoch, however, was primed to take its place at the top, with over 264,000 players diving in when it launched back in February of last year. Now, that number is barely breaking 2,500, with its last big event taking place in October and Season 2 set for April. As a result, some claim that the game is "dead," but game director Judd 'Moxjet200' Cobbler assures us otherwise.
