Insignificant Is 50% Off In The 2020 Steam Summer Sale!

Beat the heat with a chill RPG adventure: Insignificant! Now you can discover the mysterious world of The Outside from the comfort of your home, and at an all-time low price too!

It's weird having made a game about a society that has sequestered themselves inside so long that they have forgotten what the world outside is like, because...well...that's just lots of our lives now, isn't it?

Fortunately, Insignificant is more fun and fanciful than our current situation in life, because you also get to play as an Outsider, a race of tiny little people who are exploring the remnants of human society after some sort of extinction event has wiped us out.

Uhh...

Dang. Sorry, I guess humanity being wiped out is kind of a bummer. But it's okay, because the remnants of our society make for some fun places to explore for the Outsiders, and lets them come up with strange stories to explain all of the relics we left behind. Like disposable floss picks. What use could those have possibly had in human society? Outsiders may never truly find an answer.

Anyway, I hope you'll consider picking up Insignificant this summer. Finances are tight for a lot of us out there, myself included, so I hope the sale makes it a bit easier for you to enjoy the game.

Thanks for reading, and stay safe out there, stranger!

Insignificant Patch 1.15 Released

This is a small fix for d-pad controls using Steam Controller and Xbox 360 controllers on Linux. The fix should resolve any issues players had with their d-pad controls working in these configurations. If you still experience any issues, please let me know!

Insignificant Patch 1.14 Released

For this patch, I've included balance changes to the damage calculation formula in order to give player stats more weight.

An unintended bug was causing player damage to be capped depending on a player's level. This cap should only apply to enemy damage to help reduce scenarios where players are killed in one hit.

As a result, players will now have the potential to deal much more damage with their attacks when their Physical or Magic attack stats are higher than the enemy's physical or magic defense.

I have also adjusted the damage scaling to help low level players figure out this system and reduce previously strict offense requirements. Now, the lower your level is, the greater impact a small difference in stats will have. For instance, adding one additional point of Intelligence at level one will now most likely result in additional damage done, whereas before several points were required before damage was increased by even a single extra point.

I hope that these changes help point players in the right direction about which of their attacks are effective against which enemies, and make collecting equipment upgrades more fun and rewarding!

Patch 1.13

Just a small patch that fixes a bug players may have encountered when attempting to start a new game plus.

Before, the game would get stuck right before beginning a new game plus, and now that should no longer be the case.
