Winter 2025 Plaza Update
  • [p]Adjusted the smoothie store entrance to have a scale that is larger and doesn't feel like you're going to bonk your head on it in VR.[/p]
  • [p]The back plaza area behind the casino now has proper snow trails for the winter plaza.[/p]

Theater Condo Art & Editing Update

  • [p]An art pass to the concessions counters, screens, and canopy sign[/p]
  • [p]You can now edit the concessions sign and toggle off and on various aspects of it.[/p]
  • [p]The concessions menus now have a default texture displaying a generic menu when not overridden by a Canvas.[/p]

  • [p]You can now edit the theaters themselves! Every surface, railing, and chairs can now be fully edited and customized.[/p]
  • [p]An art pass to the theater rooms, adding Surface customization, toggle-able lights, and projection rooms (unfurnished).[/p]
  • [p]Handrails, curtains, seats, and speakers can now be toggled on or off.[/p]
  • [p]An art pass to the seats, which carry over to their item equivalents[/p]

  • [p]There are new animated “now playing” tickers above each theater entrance. These are available as an item as well. Using a persistent IO connection to a Media Player, this item can display the video title of what’s currently playing. The Theater Condo art pass will include a unique version of this for each viewing room, built into the hallway outside.[/p]

  • [p]Updated the theater screen and projector lights so they only turn on when Media Dynamic Lights is enabled.[/p]

Upcoming Winter 2025 Plaza Update & Optimizations
[p]Johanna has been working on a ton of Plaza optimizations for the Winter 2025 Plaza Update![/p][p]These include improvements to shaders and materials, water optimizations, grass and foliage effects, and LODs. These all will help with how the Plaza loads in on the user-end and lead to better performance![/p][p][/p]
Upcoming SDNL Fixes
[p]macdguy has been working on bug fixes for SDNL including fixing major spawn and respawn issues, death state issues with weapons, and weapon recoil issues! We also buffed payouts for SDNL as well.[/p][p][/p]
Upcoming Winter Holiday 2025 Items
[p][/p][p][/p][p]Progress is being made on new items for the Winter Holidays events in Tower Unite! New items include vintage outdoor decorations, the disturbingly adorable Sack-on-a-Rack, a metallic Christmas tree, and a baseball bat! These are in addition to other holiday items we’ve shown in previous dev logs![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]We’ve also been working on some winter-themed sprays for the event![/p][p][/p]

[p]macdguy worked on some fixes with visual issues in the Underwater Condo such as fixing the satellite elevators not animating, underwater post processing/lighting issues, and surface water issues.[/p][p]He also fixed an IO issue with OnSoundEnded not being called with the Sound Emitter item.[/p][p]He added an exclusion to allow the Tower Glove to be usable while inside Location Volumes that have No Weapons rule enabled.[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Cooking Progress!
[p]Cooking has had some major progress! macdguy has completed work on recipe book and the recipe unlocking system. The internal recipe and crafting systems have also been finished![/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Upcoming Collection Book Improvements
[p]The collection book has also gotten some love with a new category for the crab unlockables as well as showing hints for hidden items you’ve yet to unlock.[/p][p][/p]

We are so happy to announce that we are a part of the Jingle Jam 2025 Games Collection this year!

[p]Hello everyone and welcome to the Tower Unite Dev Log for November 18th, 2025![/p][p][/p][p]As has been the case in our past couple of Dev Logs, we’ve been hard at work on a project outside of Tower and are near the point of finally giving everyone the inside scoop on it! We appreciate everyone’s patience and hope you all have been having fun in Tower in the mean time.[/p][p][/p][p]But, in terms of Tower Unite development, we’ve been able to tackle various parts of the game since the last dev log, so let’s get into that, along with other TU events![/p][p][/p][h2]November 2025 Condo Contest - Free Build[/h2][p][/p][p]We have a Condo Contest ending very soon! It’s a free build contest so participants can submit a build with any theme they like. Check out the entries, rules, and prizes here![/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]TU DEVELOPMENT[/h2][p]Work on our side project is wrapping up, and we’re really really excited to share it with you soon! We’ve been very busy doing the final touches on it. Unfortunately, while we didn’t intend for it to affect Tower development at all, we got very passionate about the project and put a lot of heart in into.[/p][p][/p][p]Now that the bulk work is done with it, we’ll be back to Tower development. Keep in mind that a lot of the stuff we made on our side project has already turned into new Tower items and we’ll continue to pair the two projects together. We appreciate everyone’s patience.[/p][p][/p][p]We’re eager to get back into Tower development with Arcade: Phase 3, Accelerate SDK, Cooking, and other roadmap objectives as soon as we can. As you saw in previous developer logs, we’ve already made a lot of progress on these.[/p][p][/p][p]Nuclearxpotato has been on a roll with a bunch of fixes and improvements to Tower Unite in the mean time, so we wanted to shout him out!
