ARK: Survival Evolved News

While we continue to work on ARK: Survival Ascended, we're enjoying watching how the community creature votes play out along with helping to create those creatures for our players to tame in ASA. There are a few days left to submit and vote for your favorite entries so jump on in if you'd like to contribute and see your favorite come to life in-game!


Our next Community Creature Vote winner will land on the corrupted earth, Extinction. Prepare your submissions for what we expect will bring out the endless creativity of our amazing community and you may find your creature making its debut with the release of the Extinction map on ARK: Survival Ascended!

Please note that this creature will be released for Extinction, so make sure your real-world submissions are in theme with that map! As previously stated, we’ll add an additional real-world creature for each expansion pack map release on ARK: Survival Ascended.

What are ARKpocalypse and Beginner Servers?

• ARKpocalypse are monthly-wipe servers with higher than usual rates.
  
• Beginner servers are wiped periodically to help provide a fresh beginner experience for new players.

In 2019, the launch of the Snail Games Initiative, Classic PvP, created an exciting and competitive playing experience for PC players. Throughout the course of the seasons, the meta was watched closely and changes were made to shake things up and create an experience tailored for PvP gameplay. Continue on the quest for the ultimate PvP experience with the introduction of Classic PvP Season 7!

Classic PvP Season 7 is now live! 

The community made ARK history this week by crowning the first-ever aquatic creature winner of the community creature vote. Keep reading to find out what creature will make its new home in the vast oceans of ARK: Survival Ascended's The Center. Keep that fantastic creativity flowing because another community creature vote is right around the corner!


With over 39k votes, Shastasaurus will be the new creature added to The Center for ARK: Survival Ascended. We are looking forward to sharing its concept and dossier in the weeks to come!

From feathery artillery to strange diets, Yi Ling is bound to be an incredible addition to any Aberration survivor's tribe in ARK: Survival Ascended. Speaking of which, the race is coming to a close to see which community creature will roam the landscapes of The Center. Only three more days to cast your vote!

Species: Yi Ling Time: Late Jurassic
Diet: Omnivore
Temperament: Aloof


This feathered fella is so much bigger than the Yi species I knew in my day! Despite its aberrant size, Yi ling is still somehow light enough to cling to walls and it can even glide short distances. It’s light on its feet as well, able to dodge attacks on the run.

I’m glad Yi seems to prefer prey smaller than itself, because it can eject a spray of barbed feathers at an unhappy target before darting in to rip them back out. Its unique firepower may expose Yi in the short term, but its protective plumage regrows fast.


A tamed Yi makes for an excellent -- if precarious -- hunting mount. Some tribes use them as caravan scouts, others to torment enemy forces.

I’ve seen Yi scarf up the weird mushrooms, congealed gas balls, and nameless creatures scurrying around down here. Who knows what effect a diet like that would have on its feathery weaponry? Watch what your Yi eats, and you just might learn to sharpen its fighting skills!
