First Major Patch is Here

Hey Electricians!

It’s been almost two weeks since the release of Electrician Simulator VR, and we’ve been absolutely blown away by your support, feedback, bug reports, and — most importantly — the passion you've shown for fixing things (and occasionally breaking them too 😅).

As with any launch, the first days brought both excitement and opportunities for improvement. While many of you were able to dive into the experience and enjoy the game, we also heard that some elements — especially the tutorial — needed more attention and clarity. So… we got to work!

Today, we're rolling out our first major post-launch patch, and it’s packed with fixes, improvements, and new features aimed at making your experience smoother, more immersive, and a whole lot more fun.
🎓 New and Improved Tutorials
• Redesigned Grandfather’s Tutorial (Parts 1 & 2):
The initial tutorials have been completely overhauled to make them clearer, more direct, and easier to follow — giving players a much smoother entry into the game.
  • New Tutorial for the Nuru Mission:
A dedicated tutorial section has been added to the Nuru mission to guide players more effectively through its unique objectives.
  • Additional Hints on New Game Start:
Starting a new game now provides better contextual hints to help orient players from the get-go.
📋 UX & Interface Enhancements
• Father's Dialog Archive:
You can now access a dedicated tab in the clipboard to revisit everything your dad has said during missions — perfect if you missed something or need a quick recap.
  • Challenges Preview in the Garage:
If you’ve completed a mission at least once, you’ll now be able to preview the associated challenges directly in the garage.
  • Stars Earned from Challenges Are Now Visible in the Mission Tab:
The missions screen now shows both the current and maximum number of stars available for challenges — making progress tracking easier and more transparent.
  • Exit Button Added:
A proper in-game "Exit Game" button is now available from the menu.
🎮 Gameplay & Interaction Improvements
• Breakable Objects:
12 new environment objects can now be broken — adding more depth and fun to your interactions.
  • Dedicated Hand Poses for Items:
Various in-game objects now have dedicated hand poses, improving realism and comfort during use.
  • Teleport Direction Option:
You can now choose the direction you’ll face when teleporting. This setting can be toggled in the options menu.
Note: The previous ability to teleport and rotate using the same hand/controller has been removed for consistency.
  • Improved Shop Interaction:
The shop now opens and closes with the same button. The reset position function is now triggered by holding that button instead of tapping.
👷‍♂️ Bug Fixes
• Fixed an issue where the “Reset to Defaults” button in the options menu didn’t work properly.
  • Fixed missing physics on several interactive objects.
  • Fixed missing collision sound effects for certain breakable items.
  • Fixed an issue where it wasn’t possible to connect wires from a junction box to sockets or switches in some situations.
  • Adjusted LOD settings for selected objects to improve performance and visual quality.
  • Fixed missing highlight (glow) when holding the cable detector.
  • Fixed the “Shocker” achievement not unlocking in the player’s garage.
  • Fixed teleportation issues on the lawn in the mission “A Lesson for the Thief.”
  • Fixed incorrect unlocking of the “I Love Customers” achievement after completing the second mission instead of the first.
  • Fixed mission progression bugs where objects that were picked up and placed back could interfere with task tracking.
  • Fixed overlapping placement of electrical boxes when mounted too close together on walls.
  • Fixed missing grid visualization during cable scanning in certain locations.
  • Toned down the brightness of the cable scanning grid for better readability.
  • Added the double light switch to the suggested item list in “Electrician at the Construction Site.”
  • Improved wall colliders in the missions: “There’s Something Still Missing,” “New Old House,” and “The Same but Different.”
  • Fixed a bug where bulbs could be installed by throwing them into certain lamps without removing the cover.
  • Standardized tab visibility across different clipboard panels.
  • Resolved various lighting and scene burn-in visual glitches.
  • Fixed an issue where some lamps couldn't be turned on if the player’s hand was near the cover.
  • Fixed various translation and text overlap issues for multiple languages.
  • Fixed voice acting playback after the “Organize the plastic boxes” challenge in the mission “The Same but Different.”

Wired for the Future

Where do we come from and where are we going? ⚡

It’s only been a few days since Electrician Simulator VR launched, and we’re truly grateful for the warm welcome. So many of you have joined our community and shared your thoughts, feedback, and impressions — and we couldn’t be more thankful. Your messages, reviews, and engagement on Discord have helped shape the direction we’re heading, and we’re excited to keep improving the game together with you. ⚡

As we flip the switch on what’s next, it’s time to take a step back and reflect on how far we’ve come — and show you where we’re headed.
🔌 Where We Come From?
If you've been with us from the start, you probably know that Electrician Simulator VR is much more than just a port of the original Electrician Simulator. It’s a complete rework — not just in terms of interactivity, but in how the entire gameplay experience is delivered in virtual reality.

From precise hand movements to fully immersive interactions, every mission has been redesigned to take full advantage of VR. Plugging in wires, installing outlets, testing systems — it’s no longer point-and-click, it’s hands-on and reactive. We wanted you to feel like you're really doing the job — and maybe even have a laugh when things go sideways. 🔥😄

Of course, it hasn’t been without its challenges. Supporting multiple headsets (including Valve Index), adjusting hand poses, tweaking sensitivity, and improving clarity in tutorials — these are just a few of the things we’re actively working on right now. The next update is right around the corner, and yes, we’re just getting started.
Changes Coming in Next Week's Patch
• HTC Vive (1st gen) support – will be released as a hotfix. Support was tricky due to the limited number of inputs on the controllers, but the control scheme was reworked to ensure smooth gameplay. It took quite a bit of effort!
  • Refreshed tutorials – the previous ones felt a bit clunky and required too much guesswork. All tutorials have been rebuilt from scratch for a smoother and more intuitive learning experience.
  • Input and UI improvements – better interactions for opening/closing the shop, along with more convenient navigation within the clipboard.
  • Access to previous dad voicelines – it's now possible to review what the father character said via the clipboard, in case anything was missed or forgotten.
  • New poses, improved SFX, minor bug fixes, and other small polish updates.
🗺️ Where We're Going — The Roadmap
⚡ April 2025 – Electrical Systems Update
This update will bring region-specific electrical standards into the game—not as something players must adapt to during missions, but as an option they can freely choose. You’ll be able to switch between different systems (such as European or American) directly from the settings, allowing you to play using the electrical standards that interest you the most. It adds flexibility, variety, and extra immersion without locking players into one specific format.

🔧 May 2025 – Mission Pack #1
We’re bringing you a fresh batch of missions — VR-specific design in mind. You’ll meet new clients, explore new locations, and take on entirely new challenges. Just like the base game, this pack will combine logic-based tasks with a touch of absurd humor, because in the world of Electrician Simulator, things rarely go 100% according to plan.

🧰 June 2025 – Workbench Update
It’s time to get even more hands-on! The Workbench Update introduces detailed repair mechanics for small devices and modules. Think of this as your own tiny electronics lab, where you’ll use precision tools to fix damaged gadgets — soldering, testing, replacing components. This will be the update for players who love detail and interaction.

🏡 July 2025 – Mission Pack #2
Even more variety is coming to the experience — with new scenarios ranging from realistic jobs to unexpected tasks inspired by pop culture. Some of these missions will pay subtle homage to iconic TV shows, adding a fun twist for fans who enjoy spotting references. You'll also notice deeper storytelling, as well as alternative ways to complete objectives, giving you the freedom to approach things your own way.

♾️ September 2025 – Endless Mode
You asked for replayability — we're delivering it. Endless Mode will let you take on procedurally generated jobs and repairs without the limits of a storyline. This mode is perfect for players who want to jump in, get their hands dirty, and enjoy the core gameplay in bite-sized or extended sessions. It’ll be a great way to keep coming back to the game after completing the main content.

Each update in our roadmap is designed to build on the core experience, offering new layers of gameplay, realism, and fun. Whether you're diving into region-specific installations, helping quirky clients, or mastering intricate repair work at your own workbench — there's something new for everyone. And once you’ve completed all the missions, Endless Mode will be there to keep the wires buzzing.

Is that everything? Maybe... maybe not. Stick around and see what else we might plug in.
📣 Stay Connected
Every step of the way, your feedback is what helps us improve. We’re actively listening — whether it’s technical issues, feature suggestions, or just ideas for silly missions (we’ve got a soft spot for those too).
