A star-studded team assembles for the development of "VR-Kanojo"!

Four highly regarded new members in the industry have joined the development team of "VR-Kanojo".



The new members are Go Hasegawa (a.k.a Matsusaka Ushio), known as the main programmer of "3D Custom Girl", Genz, who excelled as a character modeler for "VR Kanojo" and now serves as a supervisor, Rei Takanami, the scenario writer known for the best-selling TRPG "Angel Quest", and environmental artist Rousoku. We are confident that with their extensive experience and expertise, "VR-Kanojo" will further evolve, delivering an innovative experience to players.

[h3]Go Hasegawa a.k.a Matsusaka Ushio - Programmer[/h3]


Biography: After working at several game development companies, he joined Square (now Square Enix). He was involved in the development of the real-time rendering demo using characters from "Final Fantasy VIII" at a pre-PlayStation 2 launch presentation. He later participated in the development of "Shadow Hearts" released by Aruze (now Universal Entertainment). He joined TechArts upon returning to his hometown, where he handled the programming of "3D Custom Girl" and related products alone. "3D Custom Girl" allows users to freely customize characters, and its rich features and intuitive operability have gained wide support. He also created the "Heavy Save Data" model distribution method, leading to over 100,000 MODs. He has been a freelancer since 2014.

Comment: "I never imagined working on this project in various ways (laughs). But there's nothing negative at all, and I'm enjoying the production. This will be my first VR title for general sale among the works I've handled, and I hope it turns out well by utilizing my experience."

[h3]Genz - Supervisor[/h3]

Biography: A veteran character modeler who worked at ILLUSION for 18 years, handling numerous innovative works. Known for his directorial debut "Ore ga Shujinkou" released in 2012, he achieved overwhelming success as the lead character artist and art director for "VR-Kanojo". This success led to him becoming a founding member of the IVR Studio specializing in VR content development, where he played a central role. Even after ILLUSION's dissolution, he has been actively involved in VR game development, consistently providing cutting-edge graphics at the industry's forefront. As a toon-style character modeler, he has created many noteworthy works, and his technical prowess and creativity are highly acclaimed both within and outside the industry.

Comment: "In the development of "VR-Kanojo", I participated as a supervisor. I helped maximize the enthusiasm and talent of this team, ensuring users enjoy experiences beyond their imagination. Being involved in this project was also very stimulating and a good experience for me."

[h3]Rei Takanami - Scenario Writer[/h3]

Biography: A scenario writer active in the Japanese game industry for many years, also known as a novelist. Debuted in 1994 and gained attention with the adult TRPG "Angel Quest". "Angel Quest" is famous as the world's first adult TRPG. Subsequently, she honed her unique storytelling and character depiction skills through serializations in "PC Paradise" and numerous novel works. Her representative works include "X-GIRL" and "Angel Blade", which are also popular in Taiwan.

Comment: "I was in charge of writing Sakura-chan's lines. I was honored to work with Yunayuna-san, whose work I had been a fan of for a long time. Everyone, please enjoy the story till the end!"

[h3]Rousoku - Environment Artist[/h3]

Biography: An indie game developer and founder of the innovative brand "Moyashi Giken". He developed the popular game "Eliminator Kaede-san" solo, captivating many fans with his unique vision and technical prowess. Mastering almost all skills necessary for game development, such as programming, modeling, and animation, he created numerous tools. His diverse expressions using Maya's MEL and Houdini's VEX are highly regarded. Proficient in many programming languages, including C, C++, C#, Python, Java, MEL, and VEX. Known for his traditional hanten as a trademark, his unique style leaves a strong impact, much like his works. His creativity and technical skills continue to move beyond indie games, impressing many people.

Comment: "In VR, normal maps are useless, so I meticulously model even parts that normally wouldn't be, sparing no effort. Unlike traditional games, where the user's viewpoint is freely movable, I pay close attention to details in places that are usually invisible. Even areas like the back of the TV and the side of the air conditioner, which are typically overlooked, are detailed. Everywhere you look is filled with surprises and emotions, so please enjoy every corner."
