Sneak Preview: The upcoming Update 0.8!

Over the past weeks and months, we've been hard at work on major new features and various improvements based on your feedback (yes, we're looking at you, Discord community!). Today, we're thrilled to officially announce Update 0.8!

🆕 What to Expect in Update 0.8


[h2]📝 Rollable, Automated Attacks and Spells[/h2]

One of the most exciting additions in Update 0.8 is the introduction of rollable Attacks and Spells.


Barbarians, rejoice! Even less math needed to play DFD!

  • Want to roll an attack? Just press "Attack," and your proficiency is automatically calculated.
  • Need to roll damage? It’s just one click away!
  • Casting a spell? The damage roll is automatically determined based on the spell level!
We are continuously working on the automation side of things for DFD and we are looking forward to hearing your feedback on these upcoming first steps towards this direction.

[h2]🧝A Singleplayer Mission for Beginners?![/h2]

Wait, what? Singleplayer? Can I now play DFD without a GM? Well... yes and no.

Based on the feedback from our recent Player Survey, many of you have been asking for a tutorial. So, in Update 0.8, we've prepared something special just for you:


We've added a brand-new Singleplayer Beginner's Mission designed to provide new players with an excellent introduction to DFD and its tools!

For our seasoned players, we're also working on adding additional tooltips and information that can be accessed during gameplay.

Update 0.8 is currently in full-force development, and we're aiming for a release in Q4 this year—specifically, this November.

July Hotfix for Version 0.7.2

  • Fixed a bug where changing the map with the grid enabled causes the player to be stuck
  • Objects are now also hidden in VR when too close (in tabletop view)

Kicking off Q3 with a bang, we are incredibly excited to release the new 0.7.2 Version for Dungeon Full Dive!

Without further ado let's get into this update's content:

🆕New Features
  • [h2]🌐Visual Grid Tool[/h2]
    The new visual grid tool makes combat even easier by allowing you to display a 5-foot grid on any map.
  • [h3] Toggleable visual grid [/h3]
  • [h3] Automatically Measure Distances when moving your miniature [/h3]
    Additionally, you can also enable the new "Auto Meassure" feature, to start measuring distances for any objects that you pick up. Neat!
🆙 Feature Improvement
  • [h3]📏Improved Readability for the Ruler [/h3]
    The ruler has been improved for better readability. The distance text now scales depending on the distance to the player to be larger when farther away. Additionally, a new outline font is used for better readability
  • [h3]🅰️Improved Readability for Context Menu & Dice Results:[/h3]
    The texts used in both areas now also use the new outline font for better readability.
🧝New Character Assets

With the new 0.7.2 Update, we have added even more versatility to the character editor!
  • [h3] New Beard [/h3]

    The new beard allows for some elegant variety.
  • [h3] New Eyebrows [/h3]
🔧 Fixed Issues
  • Fixed a bug, where some network matches were terminated after a short time period due to server issues.
  • Fixed a bug, where miniatures made with the character editor could fall through floor when picked up during mapbuilding.
  • Displaying the game on the second screen will no longer stop when closing the sidebar, while inside "Streaming Mode" on Desktop PC. Previously closing the sidebar (or fulldiving into a miniature) would stop the "Streaming Mode" which was not intended.

yes, yet another update is being released this week! ✨

With 4 new assets for the character editor as well as a variety of bug fixes & improvements, your next sessions this weekend are about to get even more versatile!

Here is what's in this week's update:

[h2]🎨 New Character Editor Assets[/h2]

[h3]2 new Hairstyles[/h3]
A new hairstyle that will make your character become the main protagonist of the story. Available for both body types.

[h3]2 new Faces[/h3]
Say hello to the old hag (or the friendly sage) with the new old face options for both male and female body types.


[h2]⚙️ Improvements and Fixes[/h2]


    New Features & Improvements
  • Maps can now save and load the mood & lighting setting that was set while saving the map file.
  • Death saves have been added to the character sheets. They can be used when the HP of a character goes down to 0 and will correctly react to critical fail or saves. (They can also be added/removed manually)
  • The LFG Button on PC now opens a confirmation popup before opening Discord
  • Improved the collider on the "Rock" asset to be more precise.

    Fixes
  • Fixed a rare bug where the "Add to Combat" and "Remove from Combat" Button stopped working.
  • Fixed the icons in the submenu tab for the Miniaturebrowser being offset in VR.
  • Fixed a visual bug in the public game browser that would show 2 texts on top of each other for the first entry.
  • Fixed a bug where miniatures could miss animations when possessed by a player that did not spawn them
  • Fixed potential map migration errors for map files that were created before the Chapter 3 release.
  • Fixed a bug where objects could get stuck in other players' hands.
