We’re committed to making the game even better, and future updates are on the way. However, please note that upcoming updates may take some time as we work on adding more exciting content. Stay tuned, and thank you for your continued support!

Major Update 1.4 ( new features)

Hey everyone! We're thrilled to announce the release of Major Update 1.4 for Game Builder Tycoon! This update brings exciting new features and improvements to enhance your game development experience:

Theme Expansion:
We've added 21 new themes and replaced 2 old ones, giving you a total of 42 themes (19 old, 23 new) to choose from for your games.

Price System Overhaul:
Introducing a more detailed pricing system! Now you can set the price of your game based on recommendations influenced by your company’s reputation, game size, and selected features. Use a slider to adjust the price and watch how it affects sales dynamics—raising the price decreases sales and lowering it increases them.

Mood System:
Choose from 6 different moods, ranging from relaxing to horror, to match the vibe of your game. This new feature allows for more creative customization and depth.

Detailed Report Generation:
Once a game is complete, generate a detailed report to understand areas where your game could improve. You can also research game reports or view past reports in your game history.

Difficulty Balancing:
We've made the game slightly more challenging in terms of review scores, offering a more engaging and rewarding gameplay experience.

Note: Detailed reports will only work for new games created in this latest build. Older games from your game history (created before this update) will not generate reports correctly. We recommend starting a new game to experience this feature fully.

for example: you created game X in version 1.3 and want to unlock the report so it will not generate a report of game X correctly.

Update 1.3

We are excited to announce the release of version 1.3, bringing new features and improvements to your gameplay experience!

Difficulty Options: You can now choose your difficulty level when starting a new game! Select from Easy to Hard, with difficulty levels affecting both your game rating and your earnings.

Extra Points: Players now receive 2 additional points when creating their character at the start of the game, allowing for more customization and flexibility in your journey.

Full Refund: Cancelling a game development now returns 100% of your invested money! Previously, only 50% was refunded, but now you can recover all of your funds if you decide to change your project.

Thank you for your continued support, and we hope these updates improve your gameplay experience. As always, happy developing!

New Features added and devlog 2

Hey everyone! We’ve updated the game to Version 1.2. Here’s a quick look at what’s new:

Character Info Added:

When you update your character, you will now have a clear idea of how good or bad your character compares to industry standards. Just open the character update screen, and the info will be right there.

Hint for Sliders:

A new hint option has been added for sliders that can be toggled on or off. This will show two random fields, such as what your game might need in a specific slider. Check this out in the slider section — don’t miss out!

Easy Free-to-Play Sales:

We’ve slightly improved free-to-play sales mechanics.

Genre-Theme Description:

Now when you hover over a genre or theme, a helpful description will pop up.

Devlog 2:

Hey everyone, sorry that I couldn’t add too many new features in this update due to health issues. However, we have lots of exciting plans for the next update, including:

A Difficulty Option, since some players find the game too easy while others find it hard.
A Detailed Research Report to help you better understand feedback.
After this, we might start planning something big... Maybe you’ll even be able to create your own console!

Devlog:

It has been a year since I started this project, driven by my passion for game development and the desire to showcase the journey of creating a game. My goal has always been to strike a balance between accessibility and depth, making this game enjoyable for both newcomers and veterans of the management/simulation genre.

As a solo developer (although I have a team, the development work is done by me alone), the project has undergone numerous changes, primarily based on the invaluable feedback received from our players. Even though this game hasn't launched in Early Access, I am committed to continually refining and improving it.

I’m aware that some of the current localization may not be perfect in all languages, and I assure you that we are working hard to improve this over time. Your patience and support mean the world to me, and I’m confident we’ll continue making this game even better in the future.

Thank you for being a part of this journey!
