The Classicvania You WISH You Played Before!
Taking inspiration from classic titles is an age-old practice when it comes to making games–especially modern retro ones!
In The Transylvania Adventure of Simon Quest (TASQ), players will certainly appreciate the motifs, themes, and color palette in-game harkening back to familiar titles of the past! Following the story of vampire hunter Simon Quest, players will embark on a journey across the world to raise the evil Count Dracula from the dead–all for the sake of obtaining the glory stolen by rival Van Helsing!
Gameplay sees players controlling Simon as he traverses numerous environments, each complete with their own brand of menacing monsters!
As a skilled vampire hunter, Simon is equipped with a deadly whip, which he can use to dispatch enemies, activate spawn point lanterns, or swing across wide gaps!
In each town you visit, you’ll be able to purchase items at shops using coins obtained from slain enemies in the overworld! You’ll also have the chance to equip new subweapons, which can be deployed during combat to add an extra layer of offense! Potions that restore your health are also available to purchase, so be sure to collect those coins!
Within each mansion, you’ll find strong bosses that will challenge your skills as a vampire hunter! Keep your distance and throw a couple of daggers, or get up close and take several swings with your whip! Eliminating these bosses will grant you a piece of the evil Count, which you’ll need to collect to accomplish your ultimate goal!
And the experience doesn’t stop there! Across the overworld, you’ll be able to play minigames that can be discovered at certain locations! Play a crane game, a card game, or try your luck at fishing! When the going gets tough, you’ll want to unwind from all that adventuring with minigames!
