Minimum CPU Spec Reduction
Hey folks!
As someone who plays games, I take optimization very seriously.
When I was growing up, I couldn't afford to upgrade my computer often, and so it was always several generations behind.
I know very well what it's like to play games you've always wanted to play, only to have them run poorly.
That's why optimization was always a priority during the development of the game, and especially now, when I can focus my full efforts on optimizing it.
Updated minimum CPU specification

Old CPU requirement
Ryzen 3 1200 (2017, 4-core/4-thread) or equivalent
New CPU requirement
Intel Core i3-2125 (2013, 2-core/4-thread), AMD Phenom II X4 960 (2009, 4-core/4-thread) or equivalent
There are a lot of things happening under the hood in Intravenous 2 on the CPU, and all of it combined requires a decent amount of CPU power.
In the months leading up to the release of the game I was able to optimize various areas of the game to reduce CPU strain.
The end result is a smoother experience for everyone - from low-end machines, to high-end ones.
I've used my 2-core/2-thread 1.9GHz 3805U Pentium to evaluate the results of these optimizations, and while this processor is below the minimum spec by a factor of two, the game is still playable on it - not optimal, but playable, and being limited by the integrated graphics card more often than not.
Thanks for reading, hope you're excited for the game!
