Hive Jump 2: Survivors 1.0 OUT NOW!

Jumpers!

Today is a momentous day! Hive Jump 2: Survivors is leaving Early Access and launching into 1.0!

We want to take a moment to extend our thanks to everyone who has supported us during this Early Access journey, as well as those who have provided invaluable feedback and reviews along the way. Your input has been crucial in shaping this game, and if you haven’t yet left a review, we kindly ask you to consider it. Reviews are one of the most impactful ways to support indie games like ours, and we love reading them!

We'd also like to share an updated content roadmap and reflect on the progress we've made since the start of the year—none of which would be possible without your support!



[h3]Patch Notes[/h3]
So, here are the patch notes and additions for the 1.0 build that is live now!

Additions:
  • New Level: Mushroom Forest and Harvester Boss
  • New Weapon: Chivalrous Arms
  • New Jumpers: Chivalrous Jumper and Deputy Jumper
  • Created a new tutorial for our new Jumpers.
  • Added a short narrative intro at the start of each run (This can be turned off in Settings.)
  • Increased the base chance of getting a challenge at the start of every wave by 10%.
Adjustments:
  • Scorcher's difficulty brought more in line with the rest of the bosses.
  • Improved player collision detection with Acid and Lava.
  • Removed reference of movement speed from Stringless Banjo Relic.
  • Adjusted decor in all levels to prevent Jumpers from getting stuck between them.
  • Wave 4's guaranteed challenge can now be 1 of 4 instead of 1 specific challenge.
  • Proximity Grenade's cooldown reduced.
  • Updated art for the Prepper Jumper.
  • Frozen Ordovicians' body parts should be properly colored upon death.
  • All Ordovicians, Jumpers, Equipment, Relics, etc should now have proper Codex entries.
Fixes:
  • Various store card stat display adjustments/fixes.
  • Various UI adjustments/fixes.
  • Fixed an issue when trying to close the store with no store or equipment cards available.
  • Fixed icons on Jumper select and Codex entry images for a number of Jumpers.
  • Various fixes related to different screen resolutions
  • Various text and font corrections.

Hive Jump 2: Survivors 1.0 Launch Date!

Greetings Jumpers,

Today is an exciting day - we are thrilled to announce that Hive Jump 2: Survivors will be leaving early access and jumping into 1.0 on September 10th! With the launch we will also be adding in a new oozy level with Mushroom Forest, a massive boss in the Harvester, an additional jumper and weapons/utilities, and some additional quality of life changes that we’ll get into at a later time.

We also want to give you a sneak peak at the Mushroom Forest map….and the big baddie itself.



So lock in and get ready for September 10th. Between now and then we’re going to be implementing more player feedback changes and quality of life improvements leading up to 1.0. If there is any feedback you would like us to know please let us know in the Discord or over on the Steam Discussions section.

Patch Notes 0.6.1648

Greetings Jumpers,

It’s been a busy couple of busy weeks. Last week, we launched the Volcanic Wasteland update which brought a slew of new content and QoL updates. You can read more about The Volcanic Wasteland update here.

We have a small patch rolling out today that focuses on some small changes and fixes.

[h3]Changes:[/h3]
  • Crushers' stats have been adjusted to create a longer and more engaging fight.
  • Health: 60k > 120k
  • Speed: .0165 > .02
  • Ground slam cooldown: 2 > 1
  • Ground slam damage: 25 > 40
  • Ground slam attack range: 3 > 2.5 (clustering of falling stalactites is now slightly closer to the player)
  • Dash attack range: 1.5 > 2.5
  • Dash attack duration: .25 > 1 (animation slowed down a little bit to make it a little less like teleportation.)
  • Dash attack cooldown: 5 > 4

Removed duplicate soldier from codex.
Health Regen permanent stat now says "0.25 per second" instead of "500%"
Player icon on minimap fades out on the end of the beam out animation.
Stalker minimap icon is now a diamond instead of a normal dot.
Mouse is now layered on top of the "controller disconnected" prompt.

[h3]Fixes:[/h3]
Fixed an issue causing some stats to be invisible on some store cards.
Volcano plants shed the correct color leaves.
Fixed various UI issues when on larger resolutions.
Additional typo fixes.

Volcanic Wastelands Update Coming Soon!

Attention Jumpers!

The dev team has been hard at work to bring you a meaty content update on Tuesday, July 23. What can you expect? More details will be shared next week but we can confirm a new map in Volcanic Wasteland, a new boss in the Scorcher, and lots of QoL improvements and bug fixes.
