Altarium Update: Server Issue Fix and Game Improvements

Hello players,

Our work on Altarium is ongoing. We had to release a quick update to resolve a server-related issue that recently arose. This update also includes improvements in the following areas:

  • The bug preventing lobby setup has been fixed,
  • Doors will now always open in the direction you are facing,
  • The issue where the party would disband after returning to the lobby post-match has been resolved.

Upcoming Updates: New Features and Enhancements on the Way

Hello, players!

We’d like to share some thrilling features we’ll be adding to the game in future updates. Our goal is to make our game world more varied and enjoyable. The upcoming updates will introduce a wide range of new elements, from improved Luxazul & Laxar AI to new maps, character abilities, and special difficulty modes.

Here’s a look at what’s to come:

  • Enhanced Luxazul & Laxar AI: Making the AI more challenging and strategic.
  • Luxazul Nightmare Difficulty Mode: Experience a chilling new level of difficulty.
  • Ping/Mark System: A new marking system to enhance team communication and coordination.
  • Account Level & Character Level Systems: Leveling up both your account and characters.
  • Character Ability System: Unique abilities for each character to enrich gameplay.
  • New Map and New Survivor Character: Discover new locations and play as a new character.
  • New Weapon and New DDA Ability: New strategies and attack options.
  • New Endgame Mechanic & Survivor Fatality System: Making the game’s finale even more thrilling.
  • Stealth Kill System: A new stealth-focused kill mechanic.
  • New Special Laxars: Schemi & Rougarou: Two new unique enemies.
  • Steam Achievement & Ingame Achievement Systems: Earn achievements on both Steam and in-game.

New Update Released: New Improvements and Bug Fixes

Hello players,

Today we're releasing a new update on Steam! With this update, we've added numerous improvements to the game and fixed known bugs to provide a smoother and more enjoyable gameplay experience. You can experience these updates right away by updating your game. Below, you’ll find detailed information about the improvements and bug fixes included in this update.

Improvements & Updates
  • Survivor HUD has been updated.
  • Cooldowns for DDA abilities have been made more understandable.
  • Moon gate mechanics have been simplified. The verification process now starts when the rune is placed. If the rune you placed is in incorrect slot, it will start to glow red.
  • Survivor Buff has been added to the church gate. When this gate is opened, all surviving Survivor players' Stress Levels are reduced by 25%.
  • Improvements have been made to the Ingame TAB menu.
  • Added indicators that constantly show the locations of all gates so players can see where they are.
  • Improvements have been made to Enchanment totems activated by Luxazul. An indicator has been added to make activated totems noticeable to Survivor players, and Enchancement totems can be broken with a single hit attack.
  • The items you collect to open doors will now be displayed in your inventory in the color appropriate for that door.
  • Updated the Luxazul HUD, and added details to make it easier to track the effects of Enchancement totems.
  • Added indicators to Enchancement totems that only Luxazul can see.
  • Your friends who have returned to Laxar will now have their names written on them.
  • Text chat has been enabled for the main menu, lobby, and ingame. You can open the ingame text chat by pressing "Enter" in-game.
  • Items found by the Item Finder can now be seen by all your teammates.
  • Improvements have been made to Chenoo's animations when he breaks down hiding areas.
  • Added an indicator that is visible everywhere on teammates who have fallen into Upside/Down.
  • Friends who have turned into Laxar (Zombie) will have their HUD images greyed out.
  • Melee attacks will no longer consume stamina.
  • Informational popups have been added to explain objectives when entering the Town, Altarium, and Upside/Down sections of the game.
  • Doubled the visibility distance of indicators for usable/examineable/collectable items and interactive objects on the map.
  • Added "Mute" options to the Ingame ESC menu.
  • To make the totems more understandable, new popups added that appears when they provide protection to the survivor.
  • Increased the size of the "E" indicator shown on objects.
  • Main Menu improvements have been made.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the ESC key not to work in the menus.
  • Added game soundtrack.
  • Videos have been added for character stories.
  • A "How to Play" section explaining the game has been added at the beginning of the game. You can also access this section from the menus.
  • An overlay has been added that appears over your friend when you return to Laxar while holding the Resurrect Stone.
  • Mouse sensitivity and invert mouse settings have been added.
  • An "Invite Code" system has been added so that you can create a lobby with people who are not on your friends list.
  • The loadout tab in the menu has been activated.
  • Fixed Luxazul's attack animation delays.
  • Players marked with Snitch skills will be visible to everyone.
  • Added the ability to upgrade Survivor totems with Korions obtained at the end of the match.




Bugs Fixed
  • Fixed a bug that caused the positions of the indicators on the doors to appear incorrect.
  • Fixed a bug that caused Simplified Chinese to appear incorrectly.
  • Fixed a bug that caused Spanish to appear incorrectly.
  • Fixed an issue that incorrectly displayed the locations of entry points to the Altarium.
  • A bug that prevented some objects from appearing at spawn points has been fixed.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the Luxazul AI to become inactive in Altarium.
  • Fixed a bug that caused Luxazul to be invisible.
  • Fixed a bug that caused ESC not to work in the Ingame Menu.
  • Fixed a bug that caused Survivor players' HUD to be visible in Upside/Down.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the Boss's HUD to appear during the Execute sequence.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented Luxazul's hints from being displayed when we entered the game with Luxazul.
  • Added an indicator on the friend icon for in-game friend requests.
  • Fixed errors in EN, IT, FR, SP, DE and TR translations.
  • Fixed a bug that removed the invulnerability (invul) status from players in invul mode.

Upcoming Update: Enhancements and Fixes Coming This Weekend!

Hello players,

We have been carefully reviewing all your feedback, suggestions, and praise. To address the issues you have encountered, we will be releasing an update this weekend. Here are the improvements and fixes we plan to include in this update:

  • The "How to Play" section will be made more detailed and easier to understand. Videos and tips will be provided to explain gameplay in detail.
  • Luxazul’s new HUD will be added to the game.
  • A new HUD for Survivor players will be added.
  • A "Mute" option will be added to the ingame ESC menu, allowing players to mute others.
  • UI elements will be completed overall, and the "Loadout" tab will be activated.
  • A countdown will be added to the cooldowns of Survivor DDA abilities.
  • Ingame guidance will be added.
  • Items used to unlock Altarium gates will now display their specific slots directly.
  • The section at the top-right of the HUD showing the status of the gates will be made two-tiered.
  • The issue with the door indicators on houses in the Town will be fixed.
  • The distance of the star indicators will be doubled.
  • Indicators will be added to encourage other players to revive those who have fallen into the Upside/Down.
  • Boss totems will now break with a single hit.
  • UX adjustments will be made regarding the use of the Resurrection Stone.
  • Descriptions of the totems used by Survivor players will be updated according to their active/passive status.
  • Protection statuses for Calypso’s Doll and Rabbit Statue will be displayed on the HUD.
  • Feedback will be added to the HUD to make players’ objectives clearer in the Upside/Down section.
  • A "Blindness" icon will be added over the ingame visuals of Survivor players when Luxazul uses the Pitch Dark ability to provide feedback to Luxazul.
  • New elements will be added to Luxazul’s HUD to make Luxazul’s totems more understandable.
  • Indicators will be added to Luxazul’s totems.
  • The overlay of the player snitched by Laxar will be visible to all.
  • Laxar names will now be displayed above them.
  • A red dot will appear above the icon of a friend added in the main menu.
  • Room numbers will be added, allowing you to invite other players to your room without adding them as friends.
  • The ingame Settings menu will be activated.
  • Control customization will be enabled.
  • Mouse movement speed adjustment will be enabled.
  • When using the Item Finder, all Survivor players will be able to see the items' locations.
  • The duration of the Item Finder effect will be doubled.
  • Corrections will be made for faulty translations.
  • After the update is completed, we will share a more detailed list of the improvements made.

Thankfully, there's now an option available that will let you pick up a piece and get blasting, and that's thanks to new horror game Altarium.
