We want to extend a massive thank you to everyone who supported us on Kickstarter and helped us test throughout our demo phase. Your feedback, creativity, and dedication have been invaluable, and we can’t wait to continue this journey with you.

Each season will introduce a brand new Writing Pass featuring two new characters, a brand-new theme, and tons of skins, fonts, colors, and more to unlock. Level up to earn more rewards!
[h3]High Seas Adventure Theme Arrives[/h3]
ARGH Maties! Pirates have invaded Write Warz, bringing rum, cannonballs, and plenty of high seas chaos. Take on the role of a pirate captain, managing your ship, crew, and resources while writing your way to legendary status. Sing-alongs, sea monsters, buried treasure, and more await!
Port Trading & Economy 💰
Before each round, visit a port where you can buy & sell goods. Each port has specialties, meaning some items will sell for more, while others will be cheaper to buy.
Port Items & Mechanics
🪙 Doubloons – Earned through writing, voting, winning rounds, and selling goods. Convert them to points at the end for extra strategy!
🪵 Planks – Used to repair ship damage from attacks or failed plot points. Ports charge high repair fees, so stock up!
💣 Cannonballs – Attack your opponents! Blast their screens with water & random letters while they try to write.
🍹 Rum – Scramble your bonus word into a piratey version. If used, it’s worth extra points!
🍊 Citrus – Adds 5 extra seconds to your timer when you run out of time (Max 1 per round).
🎯 Bounties – Purchase Word Bonus bounties to use in your next sentence for extra points!

- Single Round Voting – Move all voting into one large round instead of separate voting phases. Perfect for groups who want to read and discuss stories together.
- Map Rotation – Matchmaking now rotates between themes every hour!
Morgana - The Pirate Duelist 🏴☠️
- As Morgana types, she fills her Word Chest.
- At 550 characters, she can challenge a player to a duel.
- Whoever speed-types a sentence fastest wins! If Morgana wins, she steals 50 points.
- Cedric loves Word Bonuses!
- For every 5 used, he can challenge the top half of players with a chosen word.
- All challenged players must use the word, and if Cedric places higher than them, he steals 10 points and gains 20 points!
- New Tutorial for the Scriptorium – Learn how to unlock and customize your writing style.
- Profanity Filter Updates – Adjusted to allow non-offensive words.
- Time & Speed Controls – Control the story readout speed at the end of the game.
- New Accolades – More fun intermission awards.
- Moonlit Inspiration Fix – Longer pause before the beam comes down.
- Tiebreaker Fixes – See your own sentence in a three-way tiebreaker.
- Digital Services Act Compliance – Game now follows EU regulations.
- Win Screen Update – Prevents text clipping during victory sequence.
- Reconnect Feature – You can now reconnect into matches!
- New Credits & Attribution Screen – Added to the main menu.
- Word Bonus Highlighting – Bonus words now glow gold when they appear in the story.
- New System Messages & Text Effects – Improved readability and clarity.
- Bug Fixes – Various small fixes to visuals, UI, and characters like Eli & Evelyn.
