Version 1.1 - Steam Deck Support, Achievements & Future Plans

hi

I've been working on some stuffs these couple of months.
Steam Deck support
It works, look:

Among other things, this was added to the game (for the Deck):
 • Dpad menu navigation
 • Various commands in the game can be accessed using the Deck's buttons and triggers
 • Left stick rotates the camera
 • Labels appear in the object selection screen to know which objects are selectable without needing to hover over them
Steam Achievements
Only 4% beat the first level, that's crazy, game is too hard.

If you already beat every level, you can boot up the game and go to the level select to immediately get all 6 level clear achievements.
Full changelog
Full changelog since release (right now we're in v1.1.6):
 • Steam Deck support
 • Steam Achievements
 • New option to 'Disable rank and points' for players who don't want to stress about it
 • Various small rewrites and improvements to cards, animations and explanations based on player feedback to improve the solving experience. In particular, there were a few issues in 'The sleeping beauty' that were resolved and shouldn't confuse players anymore.
 • Improved CPU usage, GPU usage and disk size. Not that anybody complained, but yeah.
 • Little touch-ups on the dioramas and on the room itself
 • Easter egg of my favorite detective
 • The ranking system was recalibrated a little bit
 • Misc fixed and improvements
Onwards to the future
So what's next for LLR? Well, I have plans to expand the game, but sadly I still haven't recuperated the money I've spent to make the game, so I feel like it would be unwise of me to try and make a DLC or a sequel.

Because of this, I'm already working on a new game. It's going to revolve around poker. No, it's not going to be Balatro. It'll be a weird thing, I'll probably be pretty public in terms of the development because I'm going to be prototyping and testing a lot of stuff out before fully committing to it. but it's going to be cool, trust.

If you're curious about it give me a good ol follow here:

And..... That's all. For now.

I can't thank enough to all the people who have wishlisted, followed me and bought the game. I'm pretty proud of what I made, and it makes me happy to see people who enjoyed it. Stay tuned for what's next :)

Preparing for release!

Hi.

First things first, here's the fabled release date: June 5th!

In summary, the game is done. But that little marketing I should've done? It didn't happen. So, I’m giving myself some room to shift gears and start telling people about the game before release.

The other big announcement is that now we have two localizations of the game: Simplified Chinese and Latin American Spanish!

A few more things to share:
 • I revamped the Steam page, which also means a new trailer. You can see glimpses of all the cases there! Also, isn't the capsule art cute? The illustration is made by Tsukino. I've been sitting on it for some time now, and I'm glad I finally got to use it.
 • I've been testing the waters to get verified on the Steam Deck. I can't guarantee it yet, but I'm looking into it.
 • There's a website now: littlelockedrooms.com.

And that's about it! We’re on the final stretch. I hope you're excited as I am!

Any help spreading the word is greatly appreciated. If you have friends or acquaintances who might be interested in solving some mysteries, send them this way—we’ve got some cool ones here!

See you at launch!

Development Update

Hi! Just dropping by to give a quick update on how development is going.

 • All the content of the game is mostly done, I'm just missing an end sequence to close it out.
 • What I've been doing lately is improving on the cases with the help of playtesters' feedback. The cases are pretty solid at this point, except for the last one, which is quite complex and needs a bit more love.
 • In parallel, an editor is helping me turn the script into actual English.
 • And I'm also working with some peeps on localizations! But I won't share details just yet.

Although I've made a bunch of progress, it's still not ready yet for release, and I'm going on vacation soon for about a month. For that reason, I'm delaying the release to mid-May. On top of finishing the game, I also want to have some time to do some kind of marketing since I haven't been doing that... Like at all.

So yeah, that's pretty much it. I'm excited for how the game's coming up, and I look forward to showing it to you soon! Cheers!
