Gamehub 2024 Finals: 6 Projects Selected
GameHub is a program that seeks and invests in potential game projects, within the framework of Vietnam GameVerse 2024. In its first year of operation, GameHub received dozens and dozens of game project submissions.
After the presentation round on April 25th, the GameHub expert council selected the top 6 projects with the highest scores to advance to the final round, which will be held on May 11th in Ho Chi Minh City (TP HCM).
6 Projects Selected: The Scourge, Rune Seeker, Silkroad Origin Mobile, Lacbird Intedify, Magic Typer and Animal Push Royale
About Tai Uong - The Scourge
This horror genre game was developed by the CGI graphics specialist, Rare Reverse. In addition to the role-playing style of exploring the plot with many common thrilling elements, The Scourge incorporates various other gameplay elements such as puzzles, item collection, mazes, etc., to create allure.
The development team representative stated that the game has multiple endings depending on the players' decisions and actions. The trial version on Steam received many positive reviews. The team plans to promote the game extensively in culturally similar markets to Vietnam. The project was highly praised by Ms. Vu Thu Trang, CEO of Gamota, for its graphics, engaging gameplay, and integration of Vietnamese cultural elements into the game's setting.
The top 6 will proceed to directly present to investors and have the opportunity to receive support such as cash, training courses... at the GameHub Finals, taking place on the evening of May 11th at Phu Tho Indoor Stadium, Ho Chi Minh City.
Vietnam Gameverse is an annual event organized by the Radio and Television Electronic Information Department - Ministry of Information and Communications, VnExpress Newspaper, FPT Online, and the Vietnam Game Alliance. The event is expected to attract 40,000 participants.
