Early Access Update #49 - Bugfix Update, and comments on Spooky Harvest!
Hi! Today's update brings a number of fixes and improvements to the game, thanks to invaluable player feedback!
We also wanted to take the opportunity to comment a bit about this event structure and future ones. As you probably know, this is the first seasonal event for Farm Together 2, and we wanted to test a different system to the one from the first game, focused on separating tasks from rewards, adding a daily refresh to them instead of a fixed item limit.
Overall, we think the event has been received fairly well, and while it may require to come back more often that the first game's events, it requires less time doing the same thing over and over.
One thing that we've acknowledged as a problem is when players can't, or just don't want to, play the game online. In this event, this means you'll need to fulfill the tasks for 9 days in order to unlock the last reward, almost twice the days it would take if you perform the online tasks. This is something we'll make sure to improve in future editions of the event, adding more offline tasks to reduce a bit the need to be online in order to complete the event.
We also want to add more variety in the tasks to perform in future events. This may mean adding more harvest items, or adding common items to the mix to avoid requesting the exact same tasks every day.
We probably will increase requirements of daily tasks a bit as well. We don't want to go overboard, but increasing the values of some of the tasks to bigger values, so one or two of the daily tickets are harder to get and feel more worth the effort of getting them.
Related to that, another idea suggested in the Discord that we found could be interesting is to add some tasks that are not refreshed daily, with much bigger harvest requirements (and maybe bigger rewards in tickets). These wouldn't allow to complete the event in a single afternoon, but should help reducing the time needed to complete the event by 1 or 2 days.
This isn't set in stone (still a lot of time until the next event), so feel free to voice your concerns about this changes (please try to remember to be nice to other people, including other players and developers).
Finally, we've heard your requests to have some town decorations as farm decorations (mainly Banners), and we'll see if we can add them as an additional reward before the event finishes.

Improvements:
- Changed looks of the Event Details page so it's more clear that tickets are not "spent" (we may change the icon in future events).
- Seasonal Events are now pinned by default when they start (can still be unpinned later).
- Reduced size of resource icons in the always-on inventory screen. The size increase added past Friday was mainly intended to improve readability on other screens such as town shops or the standard inventory screen, but on the always-on, they would stand out too much for a secondary panel.
- Changed the way centering works for ranged buildings (farmhands, signs, security booth...) when the set size is even, so it's more predictable when rotating the building.
Bugfixes:
- Fixed ground mesh "disappearing" on a very specific case. Thanks to nopfnopf for the helpful report and information!
- Fixed collaboration hub/production building icons not working properly.
- (Probably) Fixed text chat issue when arabic text is shown in it (for example an arabic username). We're not entirely sure arabic text will be shown properly, but it shouldn't break other texts anymore.
