In the first age, the world was new, and both gods and men walked the realm together.
The gods taught the wisest of man about all things; these great men were known as the 8 Alchemy Mages. The gods helped guide them on how to harness the energy of the stars above and how to use their power and frequency.  Over time, they helped them construct the great Star Fortresses, massive strongholds that could channel the power of the celestial ley lines.These great structures supplied all the land with energy and tranquility. This was the age of harmony. The gods moved on from the realm and left men to pursue peace and prosperity, leaving behind only the LoreStones, mystical rocks that contained the wisdom and teachings of the gods.



But good and evil are as old as time itself, and in the second age of the realm, monsters from the "Depth" invaded the land. For centuries, battle ensued, but with the help of the Alchemy Mages, man was able to keep their place in this realm. The Alchemy Mages forged incredible weapons to help stave off the monsters, the most powerful of which was the HEAVY Sword. Wielded by Treadzar, the strongest man ever to live. With each monster he struck down, their dark spirit would be cast into Mayhem Mountain, locked away and unable to harm anyone.  However, as the multitudes of monster spirits within Mayhem Mountain grew, so did their power, and the 8 Alchemy mages soon realized the seal on the mountain that was meant to keep the vile creatures locked away might soon give way, and a plague of monstrous beasts would be unleashed on the realm once more. The Cataclysm So the Alchemy mages once again convened, and Thoth of the Northern Lands advised that they use the power of all the Star Fortresses at once to channel the ley line and celestial energies to fire upon Mayhem Mountain and destroy it and everything within it. The other mages demanded that this was not the answer, as the ancient Lore Stones told that celestial energies and frequencies are a tool of peace and should only be used to build and heal, never to destroy.





But Thoth visited the kings of the realm one by one and spread fear across all the kingdoms, so it was agreed that the Star Fortresses would be used to destroy Mayhem Mountain before the monsters could escape.  It was this event that triggered the cataclysm. The realm descended into violent earthquakes and massive tsunamis. When all was said and done, the entire land and everything that had ever been built was covered in layer upon layer of mud and muck. 
By the time the waters had receded, nearly all who lived in the realm were lost in the waves of mud. and all the knowledge, skills, and achievements of mankind were wiped away in a matter of minutes.
