Luminous Skies: A Short Adventure News

Luminous Skies: The Obligatory April Fools Update

I had a whole fake update list prepped but I decided not to post it [I might do it below in the comments section].

Not because taking pot shots at current monetization isn't funny. But I didn't want someone taking what I wrote, in satire, seriously.

That said, there has been an update to Luminous Skies: The Pilgrimage.

Embark on a new questline in Luminous Skies: The Pilgrimage. Visit the peaceful fishing village by using the world gate found in the quest "The Way Back", which is a follow up quest to "Unaccounted Stone". It can be found in a cave south west of Thorn Creek on the mainland.

Pre-requirements: Complete the Pilgrimage Questline and have Ives and Maple in the party. Speak to Eric, he's usually wandering around the north east end of the fishing village.

It is a silly series of quests, appropriate for today.

We hope you're enjoying the game and have a great day.

Luminous Skies: Spring Event

There's a hidden spring event for both The Pilgrimage and Horizons DLCs.

To start it, the player will have to visit Thorn Creek and talk to this NPC and will mention some activity in the forest to the north.

After doing so, this location will appear in the overworld map.

This will lead to an explorable forest zone. There should be a small grey rabbit wandering around the map; interacting with it will start the boss encounter.

Once done, the player can revisit the town of Thorn Creek to reactivate the event.

This is just a fun little encounter that I wanted to share.

I hope that you are enjoying the game and have a great day.

Luminous Skies: Horizons Major Update

After much effort on our part, the new update for Luminous Skies: Horizons is here.

The mainland is now open to explore in Horizons. All previous zones should be available to play and explore.

We have not 1, not 2, not 3, but 5 recruitable companions. That's right, we went overboard this update.

Lina who can be recruited after completing the Mender's Inn Quest that can be started by finding the marker in the shop at the Capitol City.

Lapo and Maylis can be picked up at the Inn at Frostwind.

Neve can be recruited by starting the Quest Werminn Hunters, which can be found at the shop in Frostwind.

To get the Irida the Bard, there is a missing persons notice found on the Inn at the south east town of Thorn Creek and she can be picked up mid quest.

Completing the Mages Academy questline will open up another recruitable character.

There is a crafting mini game to forge pieces of dragon armor. As long as the player has enough scales, they will be able to forge them without having to pay the cost but it is possible to mess up, so the player will have to be careful.

The swarm blaster mini game can be found in an encampment in the Eastern Frontier, to the west of Clear Lake.

There are almost a dozen new quests to pick up.

We have an additional announcement:

Since before the launch of Luminous Skies, I've been at work on another standalone DLC. It is a Sci-Fi RPG called Luminous Skies: Interstellar. The price will be $11.99 and we plan to bundle with the other DLCs for the price of $19.99. If you have already purchased the other DLCs, we have you covered as the Interstellar DLC will be frequently on sale.

If you're uncertain about picking up Interstellar, there's a standalone mini campaign in Luminous Skies: Horizons. Visit the Commonwealth Facility on the northern end of the Shorehaven Isle. There's a training facility to test your strength and there's four more companions to recruit, making the total 9 and not 5 as advertised. Recruiting all four will allow you to board the shuttle in the living space basement and take it to a contested planet and become at least briefly familiarized with the various factions in Interstellar. The Cargo Claimer mini game has been added to Luminous Skies: Horizons [originally seen in the Pilgrimage DLC].

We hope you have been enjoying the game and have a great day.

Luminous Skies: Spring Sale

We currently have a discount for Luminous Skies: The Pilgrimage and Horizons [DLC].

The Pilgrimage is 20% off and Horizons is 10% off* until March 21st.

If you're not sure you are more than welcome to play A Short Adventure for free.

We hope you enjoy the game and have a great day.

*[Technically over 80% off when the new update rolls out, soon, hopefully]

Luminous Skies: March 2024 Updates

Added 2 new quests to The Pilgrimage. These will have follow up quests in Horizons. [LSP]

To start the first quest, the player will need to have completed the Pilgrimage questline and then talk to the King in the Imperial Capitol.

The second quest should only require Madoc be in the party and can be started by simply visiting the crater impact site in the desert region on the south east mainland.

Both quests are technically end game content and the player should be the appropriate level before taking them on.

Fixed Clipping issue with some of the terrain on certain maps and fixed a few issues that possibly caused some save files to crash [LSP].

Made a skill adjustment so that one of the [currently] unused skills works properly [LSASA, LSH].

We hope you are enjoying the game and have a great day.
