Experimental Version Update

Hey everyone!

Another experimental version update is incoming!

You can access the experimental version via right click on Unrailed -> settings-> Betas.
Note that changes are not yet complete and things might change depending on your feedback.

Changelog v-393-4490abe:
- New: "Extra stock" shop/chest/vault/blacksmith modifier giving a greater selection (eg more cartridges, more chest items, more extensions) and level 2 wagon in shops
- Improvement: Player ring is rendered above most elements (similar to the outline) and uses only the lower half
- Improvement: More balanced cartridge sampling in vaults and boss rewards
- Bug fix: Cartridge overwriter could sometimes remove a wrong cartridge
- Bug fix: Magnet perk didn’t work close to map borders (regression)
- Bug fix: Long map perk didn’t work anymore (regression)

Experimental Version Update (Update)

Another experimental update!
We're slowly digging through the backlock of issues and ideas :)

Changelog
- New: Number of player lives will now be displayed above the player ui
- Improvement: It’s possible to remap the cartridge-action button in the settings
- Improvement: Reduced controller analog stick input bias (it had been reported the walking in a straight line was difficult with the controller in some cases)
- Improvement: Performance improvements for the magnet-cartridge
- Improvement: You can now milk animals from a carriage wagon
- Improvement: Junk perk is now displayed last in the player ui
- Improvement: Stomp animation added
- Improvement: Action cartridge reloading is now visualized in the player ui and in the player ring
- Change: Players can’t drink milk (anymore) as long as they have a milk buff active
- Change: Disabled milk auto-pick with magnet-cartridge
- Bug fix: Removed colorful (debug) rendering in cartridge hub
- Balance: Animals attached to the milk wagon can’t be hit with the axe/pickaxe anymore
- Balance: Can’t mine animals on carriage wagon anymore
- Balance: Cartridge vaults now only appear on the hard-path on extreme maps. (Eg if you have a lot of nether cartridges s.t. you’d have multiple extreme maps to choose from, only one of them will have a cartridge vault). Also there won’t be 3 cartridge vaults in a row
- Bug fix: Speed cartridge did not get correctly compensated with carrying speed decrease
- Improvement: Lower max particles emitter cap on low and very low settings
- Bug fix: Bot doesn’t correctly detect the next iron to mine when tide is up
- Bug fix: Objects were sometimes invisible (please write us if you still have this issue)

Small update as there was an annoying regression:

- Bug fix: Bot didn’t find rocks anymore (regression)
- Balance: Shops with extreme difficulty offer better equipped wagons

Changelog v-388-5763bef:
- New: Visualization when losing a life when having the life-cartridge
- New: Hurry-Action-Cartridge to run when activated (the speed is similar to dashing and it ignores the weight slow-down from carrying)
- Improvement: Reduced memory allocations on UI rendering
- Bug fix: The Action-Cartridge-Upgrade didn’t work anymore in the last version (it gave you the upgrade as cartridge instead of upgrading your cartridge)
- Bug fix: Transformer wagon didn’t work anymore on very high levels
- Bug fix: Action cartridge button was not displayed in the cartridge selection bubble
- Bug fix: Can’t autopick tracks when the player is previewing a track to place
- Bug fix: Possibility to select boiler badlands for versus when selecting it first and then changing the mode
- Bug fix: Bucket sound when milking not aligned
- Bug fix: It was possible to select boiler badlands in versus when first selecting the biome and then changing to versus (it’ll be activated again in a later patch when it’s playable)
- Balance: Increased running cartridge cap to 17; they also compensate now exactly the carrying slowdown (eg 5 carrying and 5 running gives you normal speed when carrying 8 items)
- Balance: Ghosting doesn’t prevent players from being killed by dynamite
- Balance: Stomp timeout to 40secs
- Balance: Extreme cartridge vaults now won’t give action cartridges anymore
- Change: While riding you can milk other animals but now your own
- Crash fix: Crash when starting versus

- Improvement/Bug fix: Popup to handle possible controller issues on MacOS when starting the game
- Improvement: Improved player UI in the main menu
- Improvement: Bot should not pick up from magnet wagon anymore
- Improvement: Bot now only picks from supercharger, miner & collector when a resource is needed with high priority (eg crafter can’t craft or a specific other wagon is selected)
- Change: Overwrite stations now allow actually 5 overwrites (instead of 1)
- Improvement: ESC->“Restart” is now only visible when playing custom maps and has a modal confirm
- Improvement: ESC->“Restart from last station” is now available when playing with the toy engine
- Bug fix: When pressing pick/place before going to an element that requires holding the pick/place button, the hold-timer was already running (e.g. cartridges or signpost). Now you can only start pressing once you’re highlighting the item.
- Balance: Turret shoots a tiny bit slower than before when supercharged to the highest level; the water capacity is now related to its supercharged level and not its original level
