Minor update - 0.24.1

Furnish Master just got a small update (0.24.1), which fixes various of bugs and minor issues with the game.

  • Fixed a freeze or crash when certain modifications were installed
  • Fixed an issue where the Room Library would not launch after a long gameplay session
  • Fixed the mod upload window that did not allow selecting or uploading the chosen modification
  • Mission preview image now saves correctly when saving a mission to Sandbox mode
  • A room saved from a mission to Sandbox mode can now be uploaded to the Room Library
  • When creating and uploading a mod, as well as describing a room before upload, the description field now wraps words correctly to a new line
  • Added missing clothing snapping points on some objects
  • Some clothing hangers can now be recolored
  • In the default Sandbox room, the window and door are now properly attached to walls when moved
  • Changed the default material of the disc item, as the previous one looked odd
  • Fixed rotation of some wall-mounted items when generating their icons
  • Removed an extra paint slot from tablets
  • Fixed materials of the napkins in the holder
  • The Lunar New Year fan should no longer be replaced with the electric fan (and vice versa) when loading a room
  • Fixed icon display in low quality mode (launch argument -FeatureLevelES31)
  • Clothing hanger now attaches correctly
  • User images and avatars in the Room Library are now cached and should not reload when switching room lists or searching
  • Fixed several localization issues

Update 0.24 - Lunar New Year & Community features update!

Furnish Master v0.24 update just got released! This update includes new community features, such as a room library, which allows people to share their rooms within the game, an in-game mod creator, Lunar New Year celebration objects, and other new content.

We have also released Steam Trading Cards! By acquiring these cards (which drop automatically as you play), you can level up your badge and unlock new Steam emoticons and backgrounds, which can bring a cozy vibe to your account profile. You can also purchase backgrounds and emoticons in the Steam Points Shop.

[h3]General changes[/h3]
Added a Room Library where players can upload their rooms and download rooms created by others.
Mod creation is now available directly inside the game. This replaces the Mod Creator and allows players to upload models and images without leaving the game.

In-game mod creator also allows you to create mods on MacOS and Linux!

Created mods can be uploaded to the Steam Workshop through the game itself. Creating mods using the old methods (via Mod Creator or manually through the file system) is still possible.
Added Steam Trading Cards, badges, backgrounds, and emoticons.
You can purchase backgrounds and emoticons in the Steam Points Store as well.
Added Lunar New Year (Chinese New Year) themed objects.
Added new clothing models that can be placed on hangers.
New hanger models have also been added.
Added many new hat models.
Around 60 existing objects that previously did not support recoloring now have this functionality.
The game has been updated to a newer version of Unreal Engine, which may fix some technical issues. This update also introduces a new lighting rendering algorithm that allows for a large number of light sources without significant performance drops on high shadow settings.

[h3]Bugs and Fixes[/h3]
Fixed an issue in puzzles where snapping points did not appear when Free Placing was enabled.
Grid snapping is now disabled by default (for new players).
Increased the maximum camera pan distance around the scene center.
The HEX color input field now limits input to a maximum of 6 characters.

  • The game should now launch correctly in native mode on Linux
  • Fixed an issue where object option buttons were duplicated after exiting the grouping screen
  • Objects no longer remain highlighted after being ungrouped
  • In Story Mode, groups now have the same cost as the total cost of all objects inside the group
  • In Story Mode, objects can no longer be placed for free from the object library
  • Wall corners should no longer remain sharp when connected walls are hidden
  • Fixed an issue where walls could sometimes not be painted
  • Exiting the auto workshop room should no longer cause the game to crash
  • Objects should no longer shift position when scaled to the maximum size
  • Fixed an issue where pulling the scale manipulator in Object Edit Mode could cause the object to suddenly jump to a different scale under certain conditions
  • The scale manipulator should now correctly resize mirrored objects
  • Objects now scale at the same speed as the player moves the scale manipulator
  • The rotation manipulator in Object Edit Mode should now work correctly for mirrored objects
  • Rooms should no longer become locked when placing a new wall under certain conditions
  • Walls can no longer be cut too close to a point, which previously could lock room editing
  • In the shop furnishing mission, object options that could break progression (including object duplication) have been disabled
  • It is now impossible to connect two exterior points with an interior wall if that wall goes outside the room

Update 0.23 + Cozy Quest Event!

[p]Furnish Master has joined the Cozy Quest event! To celebrate this event, we have prepared a cozy new update, which features a lot of new objects and new primitives. We also made some changes to the room generator, which allows you to paint the floor in separate rooms. Another change is that we removed the objects RMB context menu. Now you can access the edit screen faster, making it easier to repaint several objects or manipulate them. This update also includes some other new features, such as sandbox room presets, object snapping and bug fixes.
