Hi Survivors!
We are approaching one of the most important pre-launch events in the history of Survival Machine – on February 24, the Steam Next Festival begins, an event we are determined to win!
Steam Next Festival (SNF In short), is a fantastic opportunity to play the most exciting demos of upcoming games! And to celebrate this event, we’re preparing a brand-new, content-packed demo of Survival Machine,
which will be available to everyone starting February 24!Huge thanks for all your feedback—both praise and criticism! We’ve taken a lot from it, and your input helped us focus on certain aspects more than we initially planned. Your feedback has been amazing and incredibly helpful!
Alright, let’s get straight to the point – what will Survival Machine look like on the first day of Steam Next Fest.
What's new?

4-player coop will be available!
Finally! You’ve been asking for this on both Steam and our Discord... and here it is –
starting February 24, you’ll be able to play Survival Machine with a team of up to four players! For details on how the coop works, check out our previous posts, where you'll find all the information about its functionality!
Languages
You missed having your native languages in the previous demo—we totally get it! Everyone enjoys playing in their own language, it feels more comfortable, and the experience becomes much more enjoyable.
Here’s the list of languages that will be available in the new demo of Survival Machine:
- English
- Polish
- Chinese
- French
- German
- Portuguese
- Russian
- Spanish
- Italian
- Turkish
- Dutch
- Danish
- Norwegian
- Swedish
- Japanese
- Korean

Important information: The demo will feature machine learning translations
but full game will be translated with the help of human translators. So don't worry if you come across any mistakes; everything should be fixed before Survival Machine enters early access.
Points of Interest (PoIs)
In the demo, there will be 8 Points of Interest (PoIs) for players to explore. These locations include three large PoIs and five smaller ones, each offering unique challenges. The PoIs will be randomly generated in the world, ensuring a different experience each time you play.
Large PoIs:
- Factory
- Tree Town
- Cemetery
Small PoIs:
- Windmill
- Farm
- Villa Renovation
- Oil Rig
- Hunting Spot
Enemies
In the world, you will encounter three types of zombies, both in Points of Interest (PoIs) and during night attacks on the machine. You already know about two types of zombies: armored and regular, and in the festival demo, you’ll encounter a third type:
- Stinker – A zombie that releases a toxic gas cloud, forcing you to move around the arena to avoid being overwhelmed.
Characters
At the start of the demo, you will be able to choose from 10 different characters, with five female and five male options available. Each character brings their own unique look and background, allowing you to pick the one you feel most connected to.
Energy System
In the demo, you will be able to build a DIY Generator to power various structures and systems. The energy system introduces a new mechanic to the game. We have also added core component buffs and introduced damage over time for the core components, meaning your and your friends will need to pay more attention to the condition of your machine. Managing energy and maintaining the core components will be crucial to ensure the vehicle stays operational.
- DIY Generator – This generator provides the necessary energy to run processing stations like the sawmill and to power defensive artillery, while increasing the fuel consumption.
Time limit has been removed
Another very important change for you:
the demo you'll play on February 24th will have no time limit! After completing all the tasks we've prepared, you'll be able to freely explore our world without worrying about running out of time!
Where new meets the old
A lot of changes, right? I hope the new demo meets your expectations and that you'll have a great time fighting zombies and exploring the world of Survival Machine. And for those who haven't played yet, here’s a quick informational summary of what, in addition to the mentioned new features, awaits you in our demo:
- The Frontier, the first biome, is available to you to play and explore! You will be able to explore one third of the first biome.
- You will have access to several character upgrades to enhance your gameplay experience like zipline, increased health ugrade and expanded backpack to carry more resources.
- Increase vehicle functionality and add extra buffs thanks to Machine's upgrades.
- Defensive structure such as bomb thrower will help you fight zombie night attacks.
- Base bulding with walls, stairs, storage extensions and decorations and many many more!
- You can build various crafting and resource processing structures to enhance your capabilities and upgrade your character.
- You have access to several items that you can craft anywhere in the world without the need for a specialised crafting table. Items like clubs, slings, hammers and axes will come very handy!
Wrap up!
That’s all we’ve prepared for you today! The entire Survival Machine team is looking forward to Steam Next Fest and your opinions and feedback. Remember, this is still a demo—though it’s getting closer to what you’ll experience in Early Access—so we’d love to hear your thoughts here on Steam or on
our Discord! You have a real impact on the development of the game, and we carefully read and analyze all your comments.
Once again, thank you for being with us, and… see you on February 24th!
