March 1st Patch Notes!



Hello,

We've got quite a large update for Rugby 22, which brings some much needed corrections and improvements to the team rosters (including restoring some star players). Additionally, we've included some gameplay improvements & bug fixes which should make the overall gameplay experience a lot more enjoyable.

[h3]Gameplay:[/h3]
  • Goal kick has been added to the tutorials during the kick-off match
  • Improvements on all gameplans (such as: trajectories after a ruck, first pass, anticipation issue of the defensive team, specific corrections on the two gameplans related to extraction by the number 8, these two are not displayed anymore if they cannot be used)
  • Improvements on players' trajectory when receiving the ball after a ruck, maul or scrum
  • Improvements of the attacking team positions during a kick-off.
  • Improvements of the bomb kick strength during kick-off
  • Improvements on jackalling during a ruck: slightly larger timeframe, vibration feedback when used, AI can now occasionally use it and commit a foul
  • Improvements on the grubber kick: the ball should be more often playable on the ground. A gauge has been added to clarify the kick intensity
  • Online - Minor corrections and improvements (also added the triangle shape feedback showing the ball carrier)

[h3]Graphics & UI/HUD :[/h3]
  • Related to the addition of the grubber gauge, HUD related to all types of open kick have been updated to be more cohesive
  • Fixed an issue with the kick input display when playing with the TV/Side camera
  • Fixed an issue preventing from restarting the match when doing it during the scrum cinematic
  • Slight improvements on grass usury which could appear too often
[h3]Bug Fixes:[/h3]
  • Fixed some offside issues not being called by the referee
  • Fixed an issue with some failed tackle attempts where the player falls down and takes too much time to stand back up
  • Fixed an issue related to players' positions in pods which were pushing too far forward
  • Fixed a bug with defensive players moving backward when going after the ball carrier
  • Fixed some issues with the bounce of the ball after a kick
  • Fixed an issue where some commentaries were played at the wrong time
  • Fixed an issue occurring after doing trainings in career mode, which was resetting the user's options to default (difficulty, match length...)

How are you doing Rugby fans?

We're pushing the first update live for the Rugby 22 on Steam. Thanks for your patience, we've had quite a bit of feedback over the days since launch and wanted to make sure we tackled a few concerning issues (including the graphical issues on some AMD cards), that we're happy to say have been resolved.

We'll be back with more tweaks, updates and improvements in the near future. So make sure you stay tuned and get ready for "kick-off" (yes, that too!).

• Duration of scrums has been reduced
• Team booster prices have been reduced
• Minor adjustments on knock-ons and goal kicks
• Adjustments on the tackle tutorial to make it easier
• Fixed some players positions in some teams (Toulouse for instance) when preparing the kicker in a ruck

• Sam Cane’s body has been updated (New Zealand)
• Logo and jerseys of the non-official national teams have been improved

• Changed some English text: "throw-off" to "kick-off" and "punter" to "kicker"
• Events menu now correctly displays the SP rewards
• Setting the camera options during an online match doesn't update the camera in real time anymore to avoid some issues
• Online – Timers in menus have been increased to 1 minute

[h2]Graphics[/h2]
• Added an option to disable the grass shader

[h2]Bug fixes[/h2]
• Fixed graphical corruption occurring with some AMD graphics cards
• Fixed a crash when going directly from either league or solo menu to the main menu then going back to league or solo menu
• Fixed a crash which could occur during the tutorial kickoff match
• Fixed a crash occurring sometimes after an online multiplayer game
• Fixed a crash occurring during extra time (past 100:00 on the timer)
• Fixed a bug preventing to make progress in the tackling training
• Fixed an issue in stadium 3 (Ripple Stadium) when playing with Top 14 or Pro D2 ads, white lines are now correctly displayed on the real touch lines instead of being shorter than expected
• Fixed an issue with fusioned cards which were still sorted using their previous score instead of the new/post-fusion one
• Fixed an issue with the text of 2 events which were displaying their related name instead of the description text
• Fixed the following missions, which were not progressing as they should:
- One by one
- Last one standing
- Disloyal
• Fixed an issue which displayed twice the current objective of an event when opening the "Current challenge" menu during a match (via pause menu)
• Fixed a bug affecting the kick range when the Bomb kick is fully charged
• Fixed an issue preventing the game to be put on pause if the controller is disconnected as the second-half begins
• Fixed a bug which could make the alarm of a finished period ring indefinitely during a scrum in online game.
• Fixed a bug occurring in online game and preventing the client to see the “Away” Jersey in the team selection menu
• Online – Minor corrections and improvements
