Over the past few weeks, we've been running a competition for an artist to have a piece of work included in our new, upcoming map The Manor, with the theme being 'an advert for a camera that claims to be able to take photos of ghosts'. The competition is now closed, and over the past few days the development team has been voting for their favourite entry.

We'd like to thank everyone who entered their work. The entire team has been really impressed with the quality of the entries and it's no exaggeration to say we enjoyed every single piece and all the imaginative, original ideas you came up with. For that reason, it's been very difficult for the developers to choose a favourite!

That said, we're really pleased to reveal that saithefool is the winner of the competition with this incredible piece:

BOO! Who likes ghost stories?

In our upcoming new map The Manor, you'll confront the cruel heartbreak that drove cult member April North to make a terrifying blood pact with the demon Azazel.

The house and its grounds are plagued by an atmosphere of relentless grief and reminders of a lost love. You'll need to gather together pieces of the past before April can rest, but she won't make it easy. With Azazel's terrifying power coursing through her, she will haunt your every move and stop at nothing in her goal to snatch back what was taken from her.

As with our first map, The Farmhouse, The Manor is a blend of indoor and outdoor areas, so you won't just be spending your time inside the manor itself, but its grounds also. As the whisper of gateways to another realm hangs in the cold air, gaze upon the ashen remains of a garden wedding that never took place, before turning your attention to a crypt that invites only the brave of heart to enter..

We know many of you are wondering when the map will release, and as we previously stated, it's still on target for Q2 - probably closer to the start of that time frame. As always, we'll drop the trailer a week or so in advance with confirmation of the release date and time. We can also confirm that the official floormap of The Manor will be added to the Supporter's Edition shortly before the map releases.

Are you a digital artist who'd like to have a piece of work featured in DEVOUR's next map? If so, read on!

We get so many amazing entries for our fan art contests, and we're really excited to run one again this year. The winner will have a piece of fan art included in our upcoming map, The Manor. Check out our latest teaser of the map here.

We're looking for an image that can be used as a large, unframed wall poster. The theme for the poster is: a product advertisement for a camera that claims to capture photos of ghosts. This could be any kind of camera - digital, Polaroid, Victorian, or completely imaginary.. it's up to you! All styles of art are welcome but please note that we will not be accepting AI generated submissions. Artists may submit multiple entries if they wish to.

The contest is open from now until 10am PT on 5th February 2024. Art should be submitted via the #art-contest channel of our Discord server. You can join our Discord server here. High resolution PNG or JPG image files over 2048x2048 only, please.

Please note, all text in the poster should be in well written English. For those with English as a second language, feel free to check any phrasing/wording with us on Discord by sending a message to the #art-contest channel.

After the contest ends, the development team will review all submissions and vote for a winner. The winner will be notified directly, and we'll also publish a Steam news post featuring the winning piece of work.

- Ends the Christmas 2023 event

Ho ho ho! You're probably on the Naughty List, but we're still giving you a present this festive season...

This year, our Christmas Event will run until 28th December at 10am PST, and players will have the opportunity to unlock this awesome Santa Claus outfit for Frank, as well as enjoying an EXP boost!

To unlock this unique outfit for Frank, you'll need to beat any map on Hard or Nightmare while playing as Frank:



You'll also be able able to unlock this special Christmas Robe by collecting the 50 presents hidden across all 5 maps (10 on each map):



Once unlocked, both outfits will remain available to you after the Christmas event has ended!

Take on the forces of darkness this Christmas and enjoy a 1.5X EXP boost throughout the entire event! Time to grind for that Perk you've had your eye on..
