Halloween 2024: Free Unlockable Pet & Outfit!

It's time for the annual DEVOUR Halloween Event! The event will run from now until November 4th at 02:00 PT. In this update, we're also thrilled to bring you a brand new unlockable pet cat! Read on for more details.

[h2]Black Cat Pet[/h2]

A cute little bundle of bad luck to follow you around on your next DEVOUR run. Unlock this pet by beating The Manor on hard or nightmare. If you miss out, you'll also be able to purchase the pet after the Halloween event has ended.



[h2]Frank's Halloween Outfit[/h2]

To unlock this unique cosmetic for Frank, you need to beat any map on hard or nightmare while playing as him. If you miss out, you'll also be able to purchase the outfit after the Halloween event has ended.



[h2]Pumpkin Robe[/h2]

Unlock this awesomely spooky robe by finding the 60 creepy Halloween pumpkins hidden across all 6 maps. Once unlocked, you'll still be able to wear the robe after the Halloween event has ended. We can't think of a better way to explore our gorgeously creepy new map The Manor. Be sure to search both Realms!

Note: For those who have already unlocked the Halloween robe, you will now retain it without needing to collect the pumpkins on the latest map. But you can still collect them for fun.



[h2]XP Boost[/h2]

Many of our players enjoy DEVOUR over the Halloween period, so we're enabling a 1.5x EXP boost for the duration of the Halloween Event. Time to grind those cult ranks!

  • The Manor: Fixed an issue with filled coffins looking transparent when knocked out
  • The Manor: Fixed an issue where you might see a Crow flicker before it despawns

  • The Slaughterhouse: Fixed an issue with Nathan becoming broken after taking a shortcut

We're aware that some of you are finding the crows a little feisty. Read below to see the before/after changes to the maximum number of crows that can be alive at the same time based on difficulty and player count.

Note: These are the numbers when on 9/10 sacrifices. They start lower and scale up as you increase progress.

  • Hard: 5 -> 4
  • Nightmare: 8

  • Normal: 7 -> 5

  • Slightly reduced the chance that crows will leave perch points. This still scales up based on map progress. Essentially, crows will be patrolling the map a little less after this change.
