As you fight and defend humanity, your Warden will unlock new options.
Our Progression System rewards you for your victories, unlocking new tactical items, perks, and SPECS that let you take on tougher challenges. Each choice you make in your loadout and progression will shape your journey, allowing you to rise as an elite Warden.

Dev Diary #2 has just launched, diving deep into one of the most strategic aspects of Wardens Rising—the Build Mode! Whether you're a tactical mastermind or a hands-on hero, this feature is designed to let you shape the battlefield to your advantage.

In Build Mode, you’ll plan and construct defenses before the chaos unfolds. Unlock and deploy an array of defensive technologies—from towers and traps to portals and walls—as you prepare to face the relentless waves of interdimensional invaders. With each battle, your strategy evolves, and your arsenal grows, giving you the tools to become an elite defender of humanity.

This Dev Diary will give you an exclusive look at how Build Mode works, the strategies you can employ, and some tips from our development team on mastering the art of defense.

As a reminder, Wardens Rising is still in development, and we're working hard to optimize the experience across all systems. While this gives you a taste of what’s to come, please note that performance improvements are still in progress.

Combining the horde-slaying ARPG gameplay of Diablo with strategic MOBA-like defense, Wardens Rising is hard to put in any one box. It's gained a lot of traction recently for its unique gameplay, and you can finally play it for yourself thanks to a new Wardens Rising demo that is available on Steam.

We bring a new Demo slated for public release on the 29th!

Here’s what you can expect:

Optimized for the controller but offers mouse/keyboard controls.
The demo provides a taste of the single-player campaign experience in Wardens Rising.
Choose a Warden, finish the tutorial, and head to the Sanctuary where you’ll select the next mission, configure your loadout, and progress your hero.
Defeat all invasions on a Core to progress to the next map.
Protect all 6 cores in the demo, then face the 1st boss, Warchief of the interdimensional Savages invading the forest biome.

I love being surprised. Not in an April Fools way or someone jumping out at me, but in the way of having my expectations pleasantly surpassed. One game that's doing exactly that is Wardens Rising. It's a mix of several different ideas and genres all mushed up into one gaming concoction. Alone none of them would particularly appeal to me - yet by putting them all together, it's made something wholly intriguing.
