Cricket: Jae's Really Peculiar Game News

We're absolutely thrilled to FINALLY release Cricket: Jae's Really Peculiar Game to you all! With said release coming up VERY soon, let's take a moment to go over to talk more about the game! Cricket: Jae's Really Peculiar Game, a humorous Saturday morning cartoon style JRPG, will launch on PC and Nintendo Switch on 9/19! Other consoles will come out quickly soon after!

Take a look at the character trailer! Yes, the thumbnail says 8/15, but we had a slight delay to make sure the game is as good as we want it to be! Familiarize yourself with the lovable crew.

Each character will bring their unique abilities to combat and their unique personalities to the world and story! We hope you love them as much as we do.

Cricket: Jae's Really Peculiar Game will be available for $24.99 (and regional pricing for other areas) and will be in English, with Korean being a fast follow. Other languages will come as demand hopefully ramps up.

This month, we'll go over one of the more unique mechanics of Cricket: Jae's Really Peculiar Game: The Notoriety Meter!

[h2]What is the Notoriety Meter?[/h2]



As you explore the world, you can mess with the NPCs, such as bumping into them and throwing objects at them. Doing so increases your Notoriety Meter.



But what happens when you fill the meter?

• Enemies do more damage and have more health in battle
  
• Winning battles grants you more money, more XP, and better items
  

The meter will decrease over time, so if you want the game to ease up, it's not difficult!

Utilize the The Notoriety Meter to level up faster and reduce any grinding you might be doing! Cricket: Jae's Really Peculiar Game is designed so that you shouldn't have to grind, but just in case! Maybe it'll be a speedrunning strategy?

What inspired this idea? Uh, well we had this whole "messing with NPCs" thing, and wanted to roll that into the rest of the game's systems. That's really it!

How have you been? How are your family and friends? How's the thing you've been working on? Have you finally looked into that other thing?

This month, we had a thought to go over one of the core, yet unique battle mechanics of Cricket: Jae's Really Peculiar Game: The Tide Meter!

[h2]What is the Tide Meter?[/h2]

As you fight, and land your hit timings, you will gain Tide Meter, which can be used to:

• Boost your attacks
  
• Enable team attacks
  
• Slow down time and make blocking / parrying enemy attacks easier
  

Boosted attacks do more damage, make status effects last longer, and make status effects more likely to take effect!

You will wanna utilize Tide Meter to make battling in Cricket far easier, it's rough going out there! It can really get you out of a bind or force the enemy into skipping turns, and the like! Be careful though, enemies can use Tide Meter too!

If you NEED to use meter now, you can overspend on your turn, but be careful, that gives the enemy FREE METER!

Hey all!

Long time no see! Well, It's only been 2 months, so maybe not that long.

Why have we been away, you might ask?

That's because we're here to announce that we will be at PAX East, happening from 3/21 - 3/24! During that time, you can drop by our booth with PM Studios and play some gameplay that was only playable at PAX West last year! This new gameplay features a whole new story, moves, and levels!

Hey all!

We're back from LA Comic Con!

Just wanted to take a moment to thank all those who stopped by, played the game, and especially those who wishlisted.

We'd also like to thank the kind folks at The MIX for being so accommodating during our visit, they were incredible hosts and we'd be happy to join up with them again in the future.
