Hey all!
Wow, two weeks (and change) have already passed, and it's been a pretty wild ride! I wanna take a moment to thank everyone who has picked up a copy of Cricket: Jae's Really Peculiar Game thus far, and a double thanks to all of you who have left a review! Once again, your feedback is welcome and has identified many things for us to fix up. We're really happy about the positive reception to the game, with us finally getting a "Positive" rating here on Steam!
I'm really happy to be have seen messages from folks who have enjoyed the gameplay and story so far, it really warms my heart after a great many years of work. Not saying you have to send more, but I have appreciated all the messages!
With that, let's talk about...
[h2]FEATURES ROADMAP[/h2]
I want to be transparent with you all about what's being worked on currently. This game is coded up by one person (me) so I appreciate your patience as I handle each of these things one by one:
- Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One ports
- Playstation 5 crash bug deep dive (it's a nasty one)
- Playstation 4 port
- Remappable controls (all systems)
- Language select menu
- Quicksaving
[h2]FIXES SO FAR[/h2]
Thanks to all of your input, we've been able to implement the following changes and fixes:
- Added more save locations (More than double!)
- Options menu in the Main Menu
- Reduced enemy spawn frequency
- Fixed various NPC and cutscene display issues in later parts of the game
- Added "Press to Sprint" option to the Options menu. Now you don't have to hold down the sprint button if you don't want to.
- Added "Win Button" option to the Options menu. We heard you about it being on by default, so we moved it away.
- Memory optimizations
- Placed missing collisions
- Notoriety meter display cleanups in various menus
- Overall game stability is MUCH better
